I’ll find you
In the morning sun
And when the night is new.
I’ll be looking at the moon,
But I’ll be seeing you.

So…What Does O&J Do In The Middle of the Night?

The Laundromat

We do laundry. And we make blog posts.  Because y’all need to be knowing what we’ve been up to these past few months.  Because – not gonna lie –  there’s been a lot going on in the world of FunCenter.  Which is why sitting in the laundromat in the middle of the night is sometimes the only time we can find to get you a taste of the goods.  Some of those sweet sweet pictographic goods that you’ve all been waiting oh so patiently for!

A Post-Flood Look Inside Ebeneezer’s

Ebeneezer's Eatery & Irish Pub

This afternoon we accompanied our friends from Ebeneezer’s Eatery & Irish Pub as they surveyed the damage left behind from the 2011 Minot Flood, and the destructive power was truly amazing.  Take a moment to look through the images to get an glimpse of the wake of destruction left behind, and to also get an idea of what so many citizens of Minot will have to face in the coming weeks & months.

After you do so, please feel free to donate to the Minot Area Community Foundation, or to the American Red Cross.  Ebeneezer’s will rebuild, and so will our town.  But these images offer an all too stark glimpse of what awaits us.

A Prayer For Minot

Minot/June 25th 2011

Today will be hard, but we will make it through.

Now the darkness only stays the night-time
In the morning it will fade away
Daylight is good at arriving at the right time
Its not always going to be this grey

Memorial Day 2011

Today we remember those which are no longer with us. Service members, friends, family – everyone that has slipped out of this world and into the next, we will meet again.

And today we also think of those in Minot & Bismarck that are suffering due to rising flood waters – and to everyone from Montana to Louisiana that is sees and feels this same darkness of water.  We think of those in Joplin, Missouri whose lives were forever changed in an instant last week.  We think of those in Tuscaloosa Alabama suffering the same.

And regardless of ideologies, class, ethnicity – we understand just how fragile life can be.  And we offer prayers of hope to ease the pain, and give thanks for the beauty of grace that will always see us through.

And this is Memorial Day, 2011.

The Easter Fire

I’m betting that most of you don’t know about the tradition of the Easter fire.  Well, you’re not alone.  There just happened to be a big ol’ fire just down the way from where Old Man Otis (OMO) lives, and he stopped by to capture a little bit of the drama.  The building looks like a total loss, but it appears that nobody was hurt – and that’s always the most important thing!

One of the businesses affected are our friends at Miss Mabel – we have had the pleasure of working with them on countless occasions.  But knowing the professionalism of this dynamic duo, we are positive that they will emerge from this moment better than ever!

Well, we hope everyone is enjoying the holiday, and – MuchLove!

Jamie’s New Hat!

She’s always three steps ahead of the rest.  I know, you might be thinking ‘why does she have a bucket on her head?’, but you wait – in six months you will have one too.  Just like those real pointy shoes she had – she was right about those.

She got it at Menards, in case your interested.
