Allison & Eric

Oh well, hello there my good Peeps of Blog!  We’ve had this here post of our good friends Allison & Eric up for a day now with no words and just the pics.  Well, now we’re gonna get some words.  You see, my dear friends, there was this time and this place that was not all that long ago, and and not all that far away…it was in a magical land called Fargo (like the movie), and the reason we were there was because it was time for the totallyawesome wonderfulspectacular wedding of Allison & Eric!

And, as if that wasn’t a great enough reason to be there, the lovely Bride is also one of our long-time friends (back in the college days – when I was going to be a history teacher, and Jamie was going to be a music teacher.  Go Beavers.)  Jamie & Allison were roommates, and we were all happy all the time.  But then we all grew up and went our separate ways.  Do not despair, my peeps, because even though distance came between us, that was all!

And this was oh so evident on this wonderful day, when all of us could be reunited one more time for this joyous occasion!  It was a blast working with this group – it’s really cool when the wedding party are not only awesome, but are old friends.  And they were definitely both!  I mean, I’ve said this before but this time I really mean it – we just showed up with the camera’s.  They did all of the awesomery (not a word, but I’m going with it.  Use it in your conversation tomorrow.)

Oh.  And one more thing.  There is a sample snap that is of a crazy piece of machinery that is used to put tar down on a road (no Jamie, it is not a street-sweeper), and you may be wondering why this pic is here.  If you were at the wedding, you probably know why, but I’ll explain.  You see, as soon as the ceremony was over, there was a lovely receiving line outside of the church.  Gorgeous day, lots of smiles, and a road crew just a-waitin’ to put some sweet sweet tar & rock down on the road directly in front of where we were all standing.  These guys were on schedule.  They did not have time to wait 15 minutes for a silly wedding receiving line…that tar had to go down!!!  And go down it did.  And become a part of they day they did as well!  It was all good, though.  Slightly surreal, but all good!  The wheels of road maintenance never slow down…they just keep on keepin’ on (that might be the City of Fargo Road Department motto.  And if not, it should be.)

And that’s the story of that.

So, now is the time that we give a huuuuuuuuge MuchLove to Allison & Eric for letting us be a part of their wedding day, and thank everyone that helped make the day such a breeze.  And to all of you, my good citizens of Blogville – Enjoy!
