If It’s Monday, It Must Be Aryn

This morning, we again rose from the ‘nest’ in order to ‘take pictures’ of ‘Aryn.’ And once again, I do not know the reasons behind my use of too much punctutation, since we actually live in a giant birds nest, we really do take pictures, and we did work with Aryn.

~~Grammer~~ Grammar (thank you Andy R.) issues aside, we did indeed have the opportunity to work with the most pleasant and lovely Aryn, and we got some great stuff! Our time together encompassed many different places, and even included some time to play in the studio with my new friend Luke. Well, off with the jibber-jabber, and on with the show – Enjoy!

Sundays with Jada

Even though I’ve used this post title on many occasions, I never grow tired of it. It is a special occurrence for us to work on a Sunday, and working on this past Sunday was made even more special by the fact that we had the pleasure of working with the lovely Jada (and her dad too!)

We thank them for choosing us – we had a bunch of fun, and got some great shots! In fact, I think we should look at a couple of samples – Enjoy!

Thomas & Gracia

Day two of our weekend of outdoor weddings continues, and this time we were on the other side of the state from yesterday (Fargo), in lovely Tioga! You may recongize this beautiful couple from this post just a few days ago.

Usually we have more time between the engagement session and the actual wedding, but due to some logistics differences (North America vs. Australia), we met and moved right on to the wedding day. We were again blessed to be in an absolutely idyllic location. Another truly beautiful couple, and a beautiful day. Thank you Thomas & Gracia, and a heartfelt congratulations from Otis & James!

Neal & Tiffany

Sometimes, we find ourselves in places that almost seem too perfect. We not only get to experience these storybook situations, but we get to document them – it is through our eyes that our clients, their family and friends will see this day. This transmission of memory is the truest, most gratifying aspect of our work. Which brings us back to today, and the gorgeous wedding of Neal & Tiffany.

Their wedding was candy for the eyes. Beautiful couple, beautiful day, beautiful location – absolute candy.

Carol, Interrupted

Today we had the honor of working with Carol for her Senior Portraits. We went to all sorts of places, and had a ton of fun, and due to an unexpected series of events, Carol had the honor of spending far more time that we’re sure she had expected to spend with good ol’ Otis & James.

She made the best of it (thank you Carol!), and we really had a great time and got some great shots. In fact, we’d like to show you just a few of them – Enjoy!

Kangaroos and Buffalo

Jamie had the pleasure of working with Thomas & Gracia this past evening! Thomas came from far far away, and Gracia comes from much closer (I’ll just leave you to your own devices in figuring out where the far away land is). From what Jamie had said, they were awesome (and from what I’ve seen, I’m in complete agreeance.

We look forward to working with them again this coming Saturday, and stop by soon thereafter for some pics of the big day!

Virginia

Great state, great person. She paid us a visit to the studio the other night, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! She was great to work with – we couldn’t have asked for a better personality to work with. Thanks for stopping on by, Virginia (the person – states can’t just ‘stop by’) and we hope you will do it again!

Tim & Meg

Have I ever mentioned that I really really like my job? If I haven’t, I do. I really do. Yesterday was the perfect example. We had the pleasure to be a part of the wedding of Tim & Meg. It was a lovely hot summer day for a wedding! Why are all of these sentences so short? Who knows why, but what I do know is that yesterday I had a real moment of zen during the reception.

I fully realized how thankful we are that we’re allowed to do what it is we do, and it’s because of people such as the Bride & Groom, and their families that I (and Jamie too) feel this way. I swear, the reception last night was right out of a storybook scenario of what you would imagine a summertime wedding with an outdoor reception would be like. Well, enough of these words. Let’s move on to some photographs of the big day. Congratulations to the new couple – Enjoy!

Tony & Renae

It was an insanely busy day in the land of Otis & James today. I am in no way complaining, though. I’m not trying to say that we’re all ‘our business is so good, and yours stinks, sucka!!’ – we were just busy with a lot of running around and stuff. To finish off this busy day, we had the opportunity to work with Renae & Tony.

I will admit, I was tired going into this shoot. I thought to myself, ‘it sure would be nice to take a nap right now.’ But I didn’t nap. Instead, I had a great time working with this super-fun couple. It was our first time meeting both of them face-to-face, and it was a real treat! So thank you, Tony & Renae, for saving me from my almost nap state, and for making your photographs a ton of fun. Enjoy!

Mornings with Jon

Otis & James rustled themselves from their nest this morning just in time to hop outside and catch some good morning sun with Jon (and special guest Doreen!) A big thanks to them for being flexible with their schedule (even though the original day turned out to be great!!) Jon was great to work with, had a bunch of great ideas (along with Doreen), and we really got some great stuff (that’s like the 50th time using the word great in this post for those of you counting).
