Bring Your Momma!

She liked it so much, she brought her Mom! Our friend Lindsey brought her Mother in, and she’s all the way from a land that’s far away. A land called California! In this land, they have fruit that grows on trees. The have roads with more than two lanes, they even have mythical restaurants called Jack In The Box!

We thank Mom for taking time from her sojourn to our northern nook of Dakota to visit us in the studio, and we now will show you what transpired during this photo shoot, which now seems like it was about a month ago (I think she’s actually back in California by now. So – Enjoy!

On The Road . The Bismarck Edition

The Otis & James Caravan of Love Tour ’05 pulled out of Minot for a rare escape this weekend, the reason being a visit to our new friends at Ralph Engelstad Arena, in the lovely city of Grand Forks, ND!

We had a great time, as we were joined by our assistant (you can call her simply…helper) Elise for the occasion (you can see her very ‘tired’ eye and a relatively annoyed kitty here), and we also had the great pleasure of working with some great staff at The Ralph (Lance, Sommer and all the rest), and let’s all give a very very big O&J shout out to our super-deluxe-new-friend Kelly, for being such a great host to our little band of photo-graphers! And as long as we are giving some mad props, let’s throw some down at Super-Britt, for keeping life at the studio going while the Caravan of Love has meandered through the state. It is not Otis & James that makes the business, it is those around us that make it all so sweet!!

Well, the hour is getting late – we’ve since moved on to Bismarck, where we will be meeting some of our Bismarck Buddies (this is you, Renae, et.al), and we must be turning in. But before we close the book on another day, let’s take a moment to look at some pretting colors and shapes from the weekend – Enjoy!

Reunion with the Family Browne!

This past evening, we were joined by friends old and new, as the Family Browne stopped by the O&J portrait deluxe station for some good ol’ familly snaps! You may recognize one of the members of this family from her previous posts here in blogland.

Well, tonight we incorporated a little more of the family, and had the good fortune of meeting her mutual dating partner (if I may be so bold to say so!) Everyone was a treat to work with, and we thank this lovely group of people for taking the time to visit us, and we wish you the best, and offer up some samples of the nights work – Enjoy!

An Evening with the Family Nelson!

Yesterday evenning we were paid a visit by new friends of Otis & James, the Family Nelson! They were absolutelly wonderful to work with – full of energy, smiles and good times! We had games, weird blue spindly koosh balls, and everyone looked especially good looking on this cold winters eve (I think I could write copy for Celestial Seasonings if this whole O&J thing doesn’t pan out.)

We thank this lovely family for speding their evening with us, and now would like to offer up a couple of snaps from our time together – Enjoy!

MM . The Family Westgard!

Our day here at the Grand Palais of Otis & James came to a thrilling conclusion with a visit from the family Westgard! Oh what fun it is to ride on a one horse open sleigh, but oh what fun it is to work with a family that is so completely and utterly rockin’ to work with!

They truly brought their A-game to the studio last night, and it showed. They make it look effortless, but I suspect that this family is actually a group of models that were sent to us to show just how easy this thing called photography can be when your subjects are perfect!

We thank them for coming down so late in the evening, and for choosing Otis & James to be a part of their Holiday festivities! As a small token of our thanks, we now offer up some sample snaps from the nights work – Enjoy!

MM . The Hoffert Edition!

What’s that?? Is that the sound of the Fun Train rollin’ towards the Otis & James Lair of Love?? By God it is, and it’s bringin’ with it a visit from the Family Hoffert!

We had the immense pleasure of working with this lovely and talented family this past evening, for the occasion of getting some Holiday/4 Year photographic representations. And I’ll tell you this, we got right up on representin’ the good times that were being had with this lovely family! Even though I’m relatively unsure of what that last sentence meant, what I do know is that this family was great to work with, and we thank them for being a part of the O&J family. Being a part of the family doesn’t have that many perks, but it’s nice to put on a resume.

I’m now officially going to stop all of my jibber-jabber and just get on with seeing some of what went down. Again, thank you Family Hoffert, and – Enjoy!

MM . The Roommate Edition

Our Saturday continues with a visit from this totally rockin’ super-roommate duo of Jessica & Samantha! The had a plan, and it was to have fun, and wear the most righteous Christmas socks that one could find. Well, I come today to tell you this – mission accomplished!

These two were absolutely wonderful to work with – we couldn’t have asked for two better individuals to get us in the Holiday Spirit! We thank them for coming down to visit us, and are now going to throw this out there – what if we looked at some of the snaps? What’s that…Yes??!! Well let’s do it – Enjoy!

MM . The Family Schmidt Edition!

Our Saturday Morning got off to a great start with a visit from our new friends (and suprisingly, old St. Paul neighboors of Otis), The Family Schmidt! They came in the studio ready to rock up some good ol’ Holiday Portraits, and rock up the Holiday Portraits we did.

We truly had a great time working with this awesome family, and thank them for their time this morning (I guess that it’s now yesterday morning, as we are currently entering into this morning as I type.) But let’s skip all of this debate over what time of day it currently is, and get on with the show – Enjoy!

MM . The Livingston Edition!

Our day Friday (not to be confused with Our Man Friday) came to a most excellent conclusion with a visit from our old friends, the family Livingston! The last time that the familly was in the O&J Nerve Center, one of the members hadn’t quite made his grand entrance yet (click here to see what I mean.)

Well, this new addition has not only made his entrance, but he is absolutely and totally beautiful (and has a sweeeeet sweater)! It was a charm to work with this new arrangement of the family, and thank them for taking the time to visit us this evening. We thank them for coming, you for reading, and now offer up some pics from the big night – Enjoy!
