We Didn’t Disappear…As Proof, Here’s Danielle!

Otis & James Photography || Minot, ND

I’m sure that some of you might have been sitting there in your lovely homes of blog thinking that there hasn’t been anything new at all in the world of Otis & James, but you would be wrong, my friend!  There have been a billion different things going on, and not just Otis taking naps and trying to get out of doing any form of work at all costs (although, some would beg to differ.)

Quite the opposite – we’ve been sitting in front of our digital computer boxes making all sorts of happy pictures for people, and we’ve even held the camera, to my eye, so I…I’m sorry, that’s a song. But we’ve even been taking all sorts of new pictures, it’s just that why on Earth would we want to put up pictures on our website or social networking sites to keep them actively updated – that just seems foolish.  That just seems so, 2011.  But as usual, I digress.

This past summer we had the goodlygreat pleasure of working with the ever lovely Danielle!  She joined up with the Otis & James Caravan of Love as we toured here and there, to and fro, in search of the perfect picture spot – but we soon learned that every spot we took a picture at was the perfect picture spot because she is perfect!

Our time together was all to fleeting, but we will always have Paris.  Or this pictures.  Whichever.  So, a huge MuchLove to Danielle for being so awesome, and for all of our peeps out there in Land of Blog for being so patient – Enjoy!

My dear Peeps of Blog!  I come to you today with the good news – the good news that it is now time to take a gander, a gaze, a loving look at the SuperSeniorSampleSnaps of the one & only, the ever lovely & gracious, the effervescent…Kylie!

For those of you sitting back in your happy little blog homes, and some of your blog homes may also be log homes, and some of these homes may be surrounded by a bog, and some of you may be drinking egg nog (’tis the season, after all), I invite you to sit back with your glass of egg nog, in your blog log home and go back to a time when the weather was lovely, when the trees were green, when we had the goodly golden opportunity to spend some time with this lovely lady.  The reason why you should do this?  Well, because if you didn’t, you would be missing out on all of the wonderfulness that these pics can bring your day.

But!  Before we do that, we need to send MuchLove to Kylie for giving us some of her sweet & precious time, and to all my good egg nog drinking friends out their in log land of Blog – Enjoy!

Well, Yippty Doo…It’s Theandra!

Otis & James Photography | Minot, ND Photographer

I know that as I type this it is a Monday, and nobody really likes Monday’s all that much, but one thing that can exponentially increase your Monday happiness is taking a little bit of your busy day, sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the supersenior samplesnaps of the one and only, the ever-lovely Theandra!

Now, when I type these things up (and I do use a typewriter and then send the manuscript off to a company in Thailand which employs school age children to sit in front of computers and type these things up and most likely are paid about $1.75 a day – but hey baby, that’s commerce!) I am often faced with the dilemma of what name to type up.  For example, on the paperwork that we have, it says ‘Theandra’, but I’m pretty sure that she likes to go by ‘Thea’ – and since I don’t want to call her up and ask her because that would just be stone cold weird (Jamie says I can’t call seniors & talk to them) I just have to go by what the paperwork says.  And, in this case, it’s Theandra – which is a beautiful name, no matter if it is in the full or abbreviated version.

Now that you know that, it is time for us to do what we do best, and that is to offer up MuchLove to Theandra for giving us some of her sweet & precious time (you were awesome x100), and it has now become time for me to tell all of you goodly people out there in your happy blog homes to – Enjoy!

How Wonderful…It’s MaKayla! How Wondrous! It’s MaKayla!

©Otis & James Photography  ||  Minot, ND

Due to a computer snafu, when creating this post I accidentally gave it two titles.  And when looking at it, I realized that what I had thought was a mistake was instead a bit of poetry.  And, I can say with confidence that after all of these years of putting happy smiling people up on blog, this is the first time that one of these posts has a double title – and when you can have a ‘first’ after a few thousand posts, that’s a big deal.

And you want to know what else is a big deal – or rather, who else is a big deal?  Well, it’s a good thing that you asked, because MaKayla is!  And how do we know this?  Well, we do because we had the lovely good fortune of working with her on a day that wasn’t all that long ago, but very well may have been a few months ago (I’m having a ‘space/time’ thing going on right now and I’m not really the one that you will want to go to if you have some sort of a need for advice on how much time has past since an event occurred, but that’s a conversation for a different time) – either way, we got to spend some time together taking some sweetlysweet seniorsnaps!

MaKayla was awesome, and that’s just a fact, jack.  No debating the question.  Just straight up truth.  But enough of all these silly words, we need to move on from them and give MuchLove to MaKayla for giving us some of her sweet & precious time, and to all of the goodly peeps out there in Land of Blog getting ready for a Merry Christmas – Enjoy!

World, Relax. Brandi Is Here To Save The Day!

©Otis & James Photography  ||  Minot ND

You ever just sit there and think, ‘Man…this world of ours is all crazy like.  Always so much crazy stuff going on.’  Well, if you’re like me and you do just that, then it’s time to relax for a moment, for we’re about to get all up into some superseniorpictures of a lady that we like to call Brandi!

My plan for the world (besides domination) is that if everyone just sat down for a second, beeble-bopped the old o&j up on their computer boxes and took a look at these lovely pics, peeps would probably just mellow out for a second or two, and then maybe some of their harshness will have subsided.  We’re talking peace in the Middle East sort of thing.  I think we can pull this off, but it wouldn’t be possible without the absolutely fantastic job Brandi did during her Senior Portrait shoot.  She rocked it, and now she has the opportunity to save the world.

Before she goes off and does that, we just gotta send MuchLove her way for giving us some of her sweet & precious time, and to my good peeps out there in this big ol’ crazy world just trying to bring a little sunshine in – Enjoy!

How Happy! It’s Brooke!

©Otis & James Photography | Minot ND Photographer

As I write this, it is a glorious late November Sunday – the Sun is shining, it is almost 50Ëš outside – really, absolutely stunning!  I am just basing this upon information that I have garnered from the Internet and images from our security cameras, as I am currently sitting in the basement of our studio and the only illumination upon my face is from two computer monitors.  How do you know when you have rickets?  But anyway, it is stunning outside!  And you know what else in this life of ours is stunning?  Well let me tell you.  Brooke is!

For those of you that already know Brooke, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you this.  For those that aren’t as fortunate, you don’t need these words to convince you of that, you can just look at the superawesome samplesnaps below from her Senior Portrait session and you can just tell from one look that she is stunning!

But Hark!  My friends!  Don’t jump to the goods quite yet, as we need to take just a moment of time to say MuchLove to Brooke for letting us take her senior pictosnaps, and we also need to tell all of our beautiful peeps of Blogivlle to – Enjoy!

The Ever Lovely Katie!

Otis & James Photography | Minot ND Photographer

As we creep closer and closer to the magical day of Thanksgiving, it is now time that we offer up thanks to the gem of a lady that we will call Katie!  I think that was a rhyme.  I need to be a poet or something.  Here’s the story:  There was this day, and it was a day when it was real nice outside still, and the Otis & James Caravan of Love packed up and decided it was time to take some superseniorsnaps of Katie – and so we did.

Or, she may have called to schedule an appointment, and then when it was time for her session we completed what we were chosen for.  But that doesn’t sound as fun as the first way I said it, so I’m going to stick with the former and not the latter.  These words are confusing me.  I think it’s time for a new paragraph.  I’m sorry, is my internal dialogue coming out now?  Yep.  Yep it is.  About that new paragraph…

So, to give you a brief synopsis – Katie really was lovely to work with (as was her family!)  And we would now like to offer up MuchLove to her for letting us be a part of her senior year, and to all my other peeps out there on this night before turkey day just thinking about pumpkin pie and football and being way to full – Enjoy!

You Know What Is Wonderful? Taylor Is Wonderful!

Otis & James Photography | Minot ND Photographer

Are you longing for the days of Summer?  Then just look at the picture above these words and you should be instantly transported back to a time when the Sun was warm, the nights were long and Dairy Queen was still open…sweet sweet memories.

And when you’re done looking at that picture, you should take a moment or 20 to look at the rest of the pictures – because the time we spent with Taylor was magicalfantastical covered in awesomesauce with a dash of paprika.  Don’t ask me about the paprika.  Personally, I don’t think it has any flavor and is just used to enhance the color of whatever it is you are serving.  Again, I digress.  This isn’t about cooking – this is about Taylor!

So, to sum up, Paprika=useless.  Taylor=Awesome.  That’s really all you need to take away from these words, and you can even leave the first part out, straight up.  Before we wrap up this word jumble, we need to send MuchLove to Taylor for being such a gem to work with!  And to all my good peeps out there in their Land of Blog thinking of Thanksgiving feasts soon to be eaten (sans paprika) – Enjoy!

Otis & James Photography | Minot, ND Photographer

I know.  Worst pun ever.  But it is a supergood song!  And do you know what else is supergood?  Stormy!  Besides having a totally awesome name, she actually happens to be totally awesome!  And, as proof of that, I’m going to have you gaze at her superawesome samplesnaps.  But wait!  Before you do that, we need to give a big MuchLove to Stormy for stopping by the FunCenter and brightening up our day, and to all of you people out there in Blogville working for the weekend – Enjoy!
