Ladies & Gentlemen…We Present…ReeAnn!

ReeAnn

I’m always a fan of the big intro (seriously, the usage of the double ellipses is just straight crazy.)  Sometimes you need a big intro and then that covers up the fact that whatever it is you are presenting isn’t really all that great.  That is not the case with the ever-lovely ReeAnn.  In fact, she was so good we just could have left the title of this post blank, and presented without any words whatsoever.  In fact, I’m sure that there are some out there which would prefer I just kept all of these stoopid words to myself.  But I won’t.

And the reason why I won’t is that I need to tell you just how wonderful ReeAnn was when she came to the FunCenter so fun for her superseniorsnaps (or, as some lame-o’s might say, ‘senior portraits.’)  We had a mellow good time working with her, and the results were what we in the photographical industry like to refer to as being ‘really really good.’  I don’t want to fill your head up with all sorts of fancy technological terminology, so I will just skip all of the fancy words and get to the goods.

But I would be remiss if we didn’t send out a huge MuchLove to ReeAnn for giving us some of her sweet & precious time, and I also have to tell you, our faithful reader of blog to – Enjoy!

It’s McKenzie. Word.

McKenzie

And then in the middle of the night, it was time to once again show off a little bit of what exactly it is that we’ve been up to here at the ol’ Otis & James FunCenter for CenterFun!  This time on the magic carousel of pictosnaps, the person that we were oh so lucky to work with was the fantabulous McKenzie!  WORD.

That’s the word of the day, btdubz.  Word.  The word is the word.  Not the bird.  I digress.  On a day that was a day like today, except it wasn’t today, and it was a day when the sun rose in the east and set in the west, we had the goodlygreat pleasure of working (if you even could call it work) with McKenzie.  WORD UP.

Our time together was action-packed, rockem-sockem, and all sorts of other hyphenated words, with the exception of ho-hum.  Because it was not ho-hum in the least bit.  In fact, we were sad when our time can to an end.  But, as it goes with things that are good, they must all come to an end.  MMMHMMM.  WORD.

But all is not lost, for we have these lovely pictographs to remind us of our time together.  So, let us take a quick trip down memory lane (just down the street from Forgetful Way), but before we do that we got to give a huge MuchLove to McKenzie for stopping by and letting us be a part of your senior year!  And to all the good people of blog out there fighting the good fight every day of the week/every week of the year – Enjoy!  WORD UP.  AWWWW YEAH.

World…It’s Madison!

Madison

Holy heck, anyhow.  First of all, I can’t believe that I just used a term that makes it seem like I was a script writer for the movie Fargo, and second – if we had to look at that flood blog from Eb’s for one more day, I would have thought that the only purpose that we served was to promote an Irish pub.  Which isn’t our purpose.  Turns out we’re a photography studio.

So, in keeping with that idea that we are indeed a photographical studiomagical, I do believe that it’s time that we start showing off some of what exactly it is that we have been up to this summer (besides flooding and all the fun that goes with it.)  Turns out we’ve actually been very, very busy taking magicalfantastical pictosnaps on an almost non-stop basis for the last three months!  Who’d a thunk?!

For example; on a day that wasn’t all that long ago the doors of the FunCenter for Fun and What Not opened up, and in walked the ever-lovely Madison!  She wasn’t just stopping by to say hi either.  Nope – she was here to have her senior pictures taken!  So, good ol’ Otis (that’s me) and his trusted cohort Sammy (that’s not me) rocked and/or rolled this whole thing up, and the results were fantastic!

So much so that I can think of no better way to start off our first Senior Portrait blog of the season (yes, I know it’s almost September) than with this wonderful lady!  Before we go on to the good part (the part where you look at the pics and get all happy inside), we gotta give a huge MuchLove to Madison for giving us some of her sweet & precious time!  And to you, our wonderful peeps of blog – Enjoy!

A Post-Flood Look Inside Ebeneezer’s

Ebeneezer's Eatery & Irish Pub

This afternoon we accompanied our friends from Ebeneezer’s Eatery & Irish Pub as they surveyed the damage left behind from the 2011 Minot Flood, and the destructive power was truly amazing.  Take a moment to look through the images to get an glimpse of the wake of destruction left behind, and to also get an idea of what so many citizens of Minot will have to face in the coming weeks & months.

After you do so, please feel free to donate to the Minot Area Community Foundation, or to the American Red Cross.  Ebeneezer’s will rebuild, and so will our town.  But these images offer an all too stark glimpse of what awaits us.

The 4th of July

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears.

God Bless Minot.
God Bless The United States of America.

Rody & Jen

Rody & Jen

What the world needs now, is love, sweet love (and Carpenter’s quotes), as well as some distraction from the events of current that have been surrounding our lovely city of Minot – and I can think of no better way to accomplish both of those goals than by looking at the sweetlysweet samplesnaps from the glorious wedding of Rody & Jen!

On a day that wasn’t all that long ago, The Otis & James Caravan of Love put on our flight suits & helmets and departed our Minot bureau for a trip to our capitol city, the one & only bizzybee…B-Town…Biz-Markie…Bismarck!  The couple was ready, the wedding party was ready, the whole town was ready for this explosion of goodness that was about to occur.  And I’m here to verify to you, our faithful of blog, that Rody & Jen – as well as their lovely wedding party – brought their A-game to the event.  They were not joking around.  They had a mission, and that mission was to take aweome pictographs.  And then after that to get married.  And they did both.  Fantastically!

But enough of all this gibberjabber, now is the time that we should thank this awesome couple for letting us be a part of their wedding day, and now is also the time that we tell all of our lovely peeps out there in Land of Blog to – Enjoy!

Ladies & Gentlemen…The Cascade Sun!

The Cascade SunWell, here we go – we’re gonna get things back to normal in this season of abnormal that we find ourselves in.  And we’re going to start it off with our friends in The Cascade Sun.  If you live in Minot, or have been watching the flood coverage on KXMC, then you may have heard a song they have written called ‘Hope Floats’ that is a tribute to the people of Minot during this time – it’s well done, and we thank the boys in the band for doing so!  We are firm believers that part of the rebuilding process will be through the arts and the artistic community.  But, enough of all this blathering – be sure to check out their facebook page, and be sure to – Enjoy!

A Prayer For Minot

Minot/June 25th 2011

Today will be hard, but we will make it through.

Now the darkness only stays the night-time
In the morning it will fade away
Daylight is good at arriving at the right time
Its not always going to be this grey
