SMBF v.3 :: The Derek Edition!

Sometimes, I want to write a blog post that is in the voice of Andy Rooney, or perhaps a bad stand-up comic, and I could do the whole “Don’t you hate it when…”, or “What’s the deal with…”, or even “Could someone puh-lease tell me why…”, and then you could throw in any number of possible endings. This has been one of my dreams. That and riding a zebra (and for those of you paying attention, this is the second reference tonite to a zebra on the blog) down Main Street…in fact, I have something worked out with the zoo, and shortly before I move on to the next world, I think my dream may become a reality. But, I’m gonna have to wait for quite a while on the zebra thing, but I think that I can really make a go of the Rooney/Comic thing.

Now, I’m sure that you’re sitting there in your respective nooks of blog wondering what it is that I’m about to do, you’re thinking that this is madness, you may even be wondering what kind of insanity it is that I am about to embark on! FEAR NOT! But seriously, what’s the deal with cats? Can anyone puh-leaze tell me what that purring is all about?

And can anyone tell me what the deal is with that cotton that they put on top of pill bottles? Seriously! I can’t fit my hands in their to pull it out, and I most certainly don’t have some sort of a child sitting around just waiting to help me out when I really need that aspirin!

You see, this could go on and on and on and on and on. Seriously, right now, I could go on and on and on and on and on. But, I fear that if I were to keep this up, that my faithful of the blog would suddenly find themselves being not so faithful, and turning instead to other blogs, which is understandable, as from time to time it would seem that the grass is greener at the other blogs, but after experimenting with them, you would probably find yourselves back at this blog, feeling unsure if we will take you back, but yet knowing that we will always welcome you back into the family.

And we wouldn’t want any of that to happen, so I think that even though I had the opportunity to fulfill my dream of having a post that had all of those things in it, sometimes the dream is more exciting than the actual attainment.

Well, and this brings us to the man of the hour, the one and only Derek! He stopped down to the FunCenter, and as the title suggests, fun was had in a centralized location! He rocked it up, the Ladies of James and the Men of Otis (that would be Ben) had an awesome time, and we would now like to give you what I like to call, some supersweetsamplesnaps of…Derek – Enjoy!
