Levi & Shana!

Our Saturday continued with super-special appearance by new friends of Otis & James, Levi & Shana!  At first, it looked (probably more so to them) that we wouldn’t be able to hook up on this lovely day.  But after phone calls, a little bit of investigative work, and a little consternation (I’m not quite sure if that is the proper usage of that word, but sometimes you just gotta go with a work that seems to work) the melding of these two worlds (again, melding – not even sure that this is a legitimate word, but I’m livin’ on the edge, baby) indeed came to fruition, and it was a fruition in style (now, I know for sure that one can not have fruition in style, but I’m going to do it)!

To break it down in to regular english, this happy couple came to the studio and rocked it up good – they tore the roof off of it – they burned the place down (etc., etc. – I’m sure you get my drift).  We are happy that everything came together, and that the trip to town was not wasted!  We thank them for their patience, and for being so great to work with.  Seeing as how I’ve created about a 74% gibberish post, I will stop typing and move on to some of the goods from the day – Enjoy!

Megan!

Our Weekend got off to a great start (well…in all acutality it was a two o’clock in the afternoon, but I – and James too – have never been much of a morning person(s)) with a visit from the ever lovely Megan, and her faithful assistants (Mom & Friend – I’ll just call her friend, I’m sure she has a real name, but at this moment, it has escaped me – so friend it is)!

The cause for this good fortune to fall upon us??  Well, none other than Senior Portraits!  Megan was a treat to work with, and our time together was a treat for us as she couldn’t have been any easier and friendly to work with!

We want to thank Megan and her entourage for coming such a great distance to be with us this afternoon – we truly loved working with you!  So, enough of all this talk, and let’s move on to some snaps from the day – Enjoy!

Chad & Jen!

We concluded our week (I know, it’s a little late) – last week, with a visit from an old friend (Jen) and her faithful sidekick (Chad)!  They stopped by the Otis & James Pleasure Palace for some super-fantastic Valentines Portraits!

This loverly couple was absolutely wonderful to work with, and we would like to thank them for coming down to the studio and helping us conclude our Monday – Friday week in such a pleasant way!  Cheers to them for this, and to everyone else (and them too – whoever them may be, but in this case it is indeed Chad & Jen) – Enjoy!

Jason & Alison!

This afternoon Otisandjamesville welcomed our newest friends, Jason & Alison to the non-stop-party that is Otisandjamesville! This lovely couple kicked down our office door with the same gusto that the Kool-Aid® Man (is that a man, or are Kool-Aid people androgynous filled to the brim with colored sugar water beings?? – and if you click that link, what’s up with the Kool-Aid® Man having humanoid legs and arms that are all atheletic – the proportions are all crazy-like…) would.  Alright, enough of the tangent.

Their mission (Jason & Alison, in case I wandered too far): some totally rockin’ Valentine Special Photographs – and it was immediately clear that they would indeed be successful with this mission, and the proof is in the snaps. A big thank you to this wonderful couple for taking time to visit us, and to one and all – Enjoy!

Jeff & Emily

On this past Monday, Otis & James (I love refering to ourselves in the third person – I find it really establishes a bond with the reading audience) had the good fortune of being able to take some wedding photographs of O&J friends, Jeff & Emily!

We had a great time with this wonderful couple (assistant Mom too!), and we got some truly great snaps during our time together! We thank this great couple for finding a way to make these photographs happen, and we would now like to offer up some of the goods from the day – Enjoy!

Lance & Melissa

This past Saturday Otis & James had the great pleasure of being a part of the wedding of Lance & Melissa (too many of’s, but still great all the same)!! They have followed us from old locations to new locations, and it seems like we’ve known this great couple forever, but it was finally time for the big day – time for us to let them go…(sad music playing in the background.)

Even though it is sad for us to let this great couple move on, we know it has not been the preparation time with Otis & James they have been looking forward to, but instead they probably have been anxiously awaiting actually being married. Not to say that the time they spent in O&J world wasn’t the best time in the world…actually…the un-air conditioned days over at the Union National weren’t really all that great, but regardless, we still had fun!

We will miss this happy couple, and we wish them a true wish of congratulations! Thank you for letting us be a part of your big day! Well, before I ruin any street cred that I may have left by getting too sentimental, I will move on to some snaps from the day – Enjoy!

My Brother the Rocker

I just wanted to share a few pics of My Brother the Rocker jamming with his band.

James

ed.
This post started out as the second post in the over 300 entries that have been made on the blog (and it also started out being called ‘My Borther the Rocker’ – but that’s what ed’s are for. So indeed, it is a special occasion when the author of the post is none other than James herself (which sounds kind of strange, but I assure it is not)! So let’s hear James for making the next baby step in the world of the blog, and let’s hear it for her (not so little) brother Andy and his mastery of all things that rock – great job, my homeslice (and of course to your fellow rockers Mackey & Slorby)!

Nathan & Nicole!

Bringing our big day to a close on Wednesday was the lovely couple, Nathan & Nicole!

They warmed up the winters night (is that a cheesy cliche or what) with their playful ways – uhhhh…that sounds kind of creepy, but rest assured again fellow bloggers, as their was nothing but good times going on!

Again, let me be clear, these two came to the studio and we all had a great time with this fantastic couple! The photographs were great, and it’s because the people in the photographs were great! We thank them for taking time this evening to come and visit us, and would now like to offer up some pics from the night – Enjoy!

Preston!

I don’t know what the story is, but lately we have been blessed with the great fortune of working absolutely beautiful babies! In keeping with the trend, this past Wednesday we had the great opportunity of working with a really great young man by the name of Preston!

This beautiful boy came in and lit up the studio with his radiant personality and charming good looks! In fact, I’m just going to stop talking about it and move on to some of the photographs – before I do, though, a big thank you to Mom for all of her help! Enjoy!

Jeff!

On this past Tuesday a man by the name of Jeff and his faithful assistants (Ma & Bro) stopped by the Otis & James Super Center for a little photographic fun! Indeed, that description makes it sound like we are a studio still living in the seventies, and that somewhere in our logo there should be some really bad clip-art of a camera with something crazy popping out of the top of it – like a bird or something zany like that. Rest assured, fellow bloggers, this is not the route that we will be taking.

Getting back to our ‘photographic fun’, it was indeed for the taking on this pleasant afternoon. Jeff was in fine form, ready to set the dial to eleven, and it truly showed! Jeff was awesome, and his family was a pleasure as well. We would like to thank this group for making the trip to ot-ja land (ot-ja, I like indeed!), and we will now offer up a steaming hot plate of photographic fun for all – Enjoy!
