Heather!

After a week of non-photographic work, Otis & James returned to the land of Senior Portraits this morning when we were visited by our new friend Heather!! She, along with her entourage (Ma, Bro & Sis) made the trek down to the newly painted nerve center for some super-deluxe snappy snaps.

Heather totally tore it up in the studio – she turned on the inner model and we went along for the adventure! She was a true joy to work with, and we thank both her and her entourage for making the trip to see us. Well, I’ll quit all of my crazy talk and get on with the goods – Enjoy!

Lacy…Part II

This past Tuesday (again a day late, a dollar short), we were able to complete the shoot with our old friend, Lacy (you may remember her from this post)!!

I’ll tell you what, there is no way for a person to not have a great time working with Lacy, as her smile/laugh/all around sunny disposition makes any cloud go away! We thank her again for being a member of the Otis & James Family (we all wear matching Members Only jackets.) So Lacy, thank you and – Enjoy!

Finally, Ben!

One week ago (actually as I write this it’s like one week and a day, but who’s counting at this point), we at Otis & James had the great honor of working with our man, Ben!

You see, we thought that we would build up the suspense to a fever pitch in posting his snappy-snaps in the blog, and I think that we have achieved our mission. So I will waste not a minute more, and will now cut straight to the snaps (well, first I want to extend a big shout out to both Ben and his faithful and trusty assistant ((MOM)) for all of their hard work, and for the great time we had) – Enjoy!

Oh, and one more thing – let’s hear it for Ben in managing to fit not just one, but three cars in the studio. Skills. That’s all I have to say to that.

Skills.

And now – Enjoy!

Otis & James…Where Are You???!!!

Hello from the land of Otis & James!!! It’s been quiet on the blog of late, but rest assured my fellow bloggers – we have not been resting on our laurels (what does that mean?) We’ve been hard at work making our studio into a even more rocking place than it was before.

When we moved into the new studio, we really didn’t have much time to do everything that we wanted to, so we used this last week to make some really cool changes to our already super double cool space! Stay tuned for some photo’s of these changes (you would think that as photographers, we would already have some up – but that’s not how we roll) in the coming days. Special thanks to the family of Fat Al for all of their assistance during this week – we couldn’t have done it without both of you!

Alright, I’ll put up one pic now:

This is the new and improved dressing room – just one of the new features we’ve been working on. For those of you that had used the old dressing room, you may notice some differences (like the unbelievable amount of red paint, which after many hours of being in the room with just a solitary light and no companionship caused ol’ Otis to feel like he was caught in an outtake of The Shining – but it was worth it.)

Stay tuned for more samples of our week of behind the scenes work to make a stronger, better, shinier Otis & James.

Thanks again, and much love to y’all –

Brit & Kev

The Family Miller!

In the ongoing quest of Otis & James Photography to photograph all facets of the Miller Family, yesterdy we worked with the Bismark version the this expansive clan!

In keeping with our past Miller experiences, this group couldn’t have been any easier to work with (unlike that unruly Steve…will he ever be tamed?) The ‘Bismark Miller’ was awesome – we put puzzles together, played a good game of tickle monster, read some old school stories, and then went to the park. Does it get any better than that??!! Indeed, fun was had by all in the quest for some sweet snaps – and I’m here to say the snaps were indeed sweet.

We thank them one and all for making the trip to see us, and we hope to see you again soon – but for now, take a look at these samples from the day, and – Enjoy!

Julie!

This morning, we in Otis & James Land (the only inhabitants of which are Otis &James – it’s a pretty exclusive land) were reunited with our old friend Julie for the occasion of her Senior Portraits! She and her merry band of family (Mom, Sis, and Bro) came down to HQ and let the par-tay begin!

The fact that we had already spent some quality time with Julie before (altough I’m not sure that any time spent in our super-crappy old Honda could be considered in any form to be quality), as this made the shoot today all the easier. We all laughed in gigglish and cute ways, and Julie turned to magic setting to high, and the results were suuuuuper-faaaaaaaaantastic!

Thank you to Julie for her time with us, and to everybody else out there – Enjoy!

Jared. Just Jared

I don’t know of any other way to introduce this post other than to say…Ladies and Gentlemen…I want you to join me in giving a big Minot North Dakota welcome to the legendary, mystifying, side-splitting, pondering, friend to flora and fauna alike…none other than the man, the myth, the legend of soul himself…the Magic City Mad Man… the purveyor of percolated coffee and the man of perpetual motion…Jared.

Give it up, and – Enjoy!

Kensie!

Yesterday evening, we at Otis & James HQ were joined by the oh-so-lovely Kensie for the occasion of her Senior Portraits! We had a great time together, and Kensie was just an absolute joy to work with as we began our time in the studio, and then hit the pavement downtown in search of the perfect shot.

Kensie is going to come back later to finish up the rest of her shoot, but for now why don’t you sit back and enjoy some snaps from our adventures yesterday – Enjoy!

William & Michelle…(a little late)

Otis & James come to you at this late our with our collective tail between our legs. It seems that in the midst of all the commotion and whatnot around the studio, our friends William & Michelle were left off of the blog!!

We want everyone to experience the blog, and when something like this happens we feel awful!! So instead of just offering our thanks to this beautiful couple for choosing us, we instead say thank you and we’re sorry! Even though every sentence seems to end with an exclamation point, it’s true. So we humbly present these photographs as a sort of an olive branch, and also to showcase the full on beauti-osity of this super-duper fun couple – Enjoy!

It’s Nick Again!

Bright and early, Nick rolled on into our studio for the conclusion of his shoot (you can find his previous post here.) He braved the cold, and also a quick run up about 200 stairs (notice how Jamie and I were all like “why don’t you go up there and see if the gate it open”) in order to make his time with us suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper sweet.

Well, super sweet it was, and I’m going to show the proof – Enjoy!
