Here We Go!

Much apologies for the lag in posts – Senior Mayhem has hit the high mark and everything is taking just a little longer – but we’re now back on track and ready to blog our minds out.

Peace

And Again…Gabe!

This morning we arose to spend a little more time with our friend Gabe (you may remember him from this post)! We began with some hearty cold weather, but the sun was out so at least we had that. Well…the sun was out for about the first 15 minutes of the shoot, and after that it began to snow.

Ahh yes, our old friend snow. We didn’t let it get us down. We soldiered on, determined to take this snow and make it into photographic gold (again, a really cheesy sentence.) Gabe was awesome – perhaps compeletely frozen at times, but he knew it was for the greater cause – the cause of Senior Portraits. It was with this in the back of his head that allowed him to tear it up in the fashion in which he did.

Even though I do not really know what that last sentence means, I want to invite you to stop back later this winter for a couple of more from Gabe. For now, we offer these to tide you over – Enjoy!

Amanda!

This afternoon, we were joined at Otis & James Central by a very special guest star, Amanda! The misson: her Senior Portraits. We were up for the job, and so was Amanda!

We got right down to business and let the good times roll. Amanda was a natural at this – she totally rocked it up, and we just went along for the ride. I don’t know what that means, but what I do know is that Amanda was sweet to work with (not in the sugary sense, but in the style of “Dude…sweet.”) We thank her for making the trip down just for us (us and maybe a little shopping too, that is), and hope to see her again soon! Well, enough of all this and let’s get to the pics – Enjoy!

Katie!

This morning, the land of Otis & James welcomed a new friend to our midst, the lovely Katie! It was brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr very cold outsite when we started, but we didn’t let that get us down. No! We instead made those shivers into smiles (that line may have crossed the threshold of cheesy to totally cheesy), but we did!

She was absolutely wonderfuld to work with, and our time together was all too fleeting (sorry if we made you late!) Thank you again to Katie, and I will now stop all of my jibberish and jabbering and get on with the snaps – Enjoy!

Nick!

This afternoon, we were joined by Nick and his faithful assistant/GF for some super senior portraits! We made a valiant attempt to complete the whole session, but we figured that Nick wouldn’t be too keen on the ‘it’s raining on me’ look that we could have had. His loss. Well, we will hold out for the giant fireball in the sky instead.

We will now display just a smattering of the work that we managed to complete in spite of the stupid weather. So sit at your computer and keep refreshing the page in anticipation of when the rest of the shoot of Nick will be posted.

Good luck, bloggers – keep refreshing for about a week or so, don’t sleep, and – Enjoy!

Tiffany!

This morning we were joined by the lovely Tiffany and her trusty assistant (Mom), for some early to rise Senior Portraits! Tiffany was great, we were rip-roaring to go, and we made the best of our time together!

Tiffany was totally great – absolutely wonderful to work with! We only did the outdoor portion of the shoot today, and will be adding the indoor section just a little later. So for now, take comfort in these photographs that we offer, and keep peeling your eyeballs to see the super-swell conclusion to the shoot – Enjoy!

Tony & Renae

This past Saturday, we had the great honor of being a part of the wedding of Tony & Renae! You may remember them from their previous visit to the blog – or you may know them in real life – either way they were absolutely great to work with!

We ventured to the great city of Kenmare for the big event. This was our first time working in the big city, and we had a wonderful time! Everyone was great – family, friends, wedding pary were all rockin’! Even though the wind was blowing a little on the insane side, The happy couple didn’t even let it phase them.

We thank Tony & Renae and wish them a heartfelt congratulations! Thanks to you and your families – Enjoy!

Give It Up One More Time For Kip

Kip joined is this afternoon for the completion of his super-fantastic photo session. You can find his previous post here. We tried different things today, and thought that we would show you a side of Otis & James that you may not be familiar with – the side that likes to take really really bad photographs.

First off, a really good photograph.

Next up, a really bad photograph.

We will occasionally take these really bad photographs to just ‘keep it real.’ We have no intention of giving something like this back to our clients, we just want to make sure that we can still do it. And, it looks like we can. That way if bad photography comes back into fashion, we are good to go.

This may seem crazy, but I don’t make up the rules to the true art of photography, I just follow them whenever I’m not bloggin’ away the day.

Thanks to Kip for rocking it up as usual, and thanks to everybody else out there for just being yourselves – Yojne!

Loni. Loni. Loni.

Let’s keep this short and simple. We had a pizza party. David was patient. Megan was awesome. Loni rocks. Here’s the proof – Enjoy!

Andrea!

After some last-minute high-level negotiations between Otis & James, Bishop Ryan, Erin and our stylist Hope, we were finally able to meet with our new Senior friend – Andrea! She came down to the studio this afternoon and we totally rocked it out for the indoor and downtown section of her session.

And then the wind came. Again, good ol’ Ma Nature showed that no matter what you may think, she always holds the upper hand. Well, we’ll show her as we will just come back another day to complete our time together with the lovely Andrea. So all of you out there in Blog-Land (that’s right off of Burdick), keep on peeling your eyes to see the exciting conclusion. So stay tuned, and – Enjoy!
