Natalie, Complete!

This past Monday morning, our old friend Natalie was able to bust out of school for a little bit to complete her super-fantastic senior shoot! We found our way to the places only ragged people know.*

As usual, Natalie was sweet to work with (and that’s sweet in non-syrupy way.) Thank you again to her for all of her hard work, and to the rest of you, take a look at the proof – Enjoy!

Kelsey!

Last night we again found ourselved right in the midst of Senior Portraits, and this time we were lucky to be with the lovely and talented Kelsey, with special guest Mom! These two came in and brought good times to the land of Otis & James.

And even though the weather was less than perfect, we managed to get a bunch of great stuff in the studio and downtown – James & Kelsey did the hard work, while our special guest (Mom) was led on a guided tour of The Blue Rider (the photograph of Kelsey against the blue wall is, of course, The Blue Rider (not to be confused with Der Blaue Reiter, but that’s a discussion for a different day.) Back to Kelsey, we wound up being rained out, so keep your eyes peeled for the conclusion to this action packed adventure. Here’s some of the story – Enjoy!

Heather From Friday On Monday

This past Friday, we were in great company as we had the good fortune of working with Heather and her lovely assistant (Mom.) Heather brought her A game to the table this evening, and it truly showed in our work together. She had a ton of great ideas, and was open to any we had – absolutely great to work with!

So, thank you again to Heather, and here’s some of the goods – Enjoy!

Patty, Part II

This morning, we drug our lazy butts out of bed bright and early to complete the shoot with our friend, Patty! I must admit that 7:00 AM comes a little early after a late night (I was blogging, not partying). But after a shaky start with a little too much fog, the sun came through and we got a ton of great pics!

Thank you again to Patty, and to her great assistant (Dad) for all of their help – you know the drill, on with the pics – Enjoy!

Bailley!

It’s real late now, and have to wake up early for pics – will make a more elaborate post later, but for now enjoy these samples of our work with Bailley tonight. She rocked.

That was a long sentence, followed up by a short sentence.

Good Night, and – Enjoy!

Kristi!

We rounded out the day today with our friend, Kristi! She was rip-roarin’ and a ready to go, and we got some great stuff! We spent most of our time tonight in the studio, with a special trip to Dad’s for a visit with some kittens and a horse named Nacho. We have a duck (actually a goose that thinks he’s a duck) called Nacho, but this is besides the point.

As I was saying, we got some great stuff – and come back soon to find out the shocking conclusion to her session (shocking may not be the best word, but it’s all that I got right now.) So, off with the rambling and on with the pics – Enjoy!

Missin’ School with Sara

Sometimes you just gotta miss school.* You can ask my parents about it, they will vouch that I indeed followed this philosophy well during my high school years. Of course, it didn’t really pan out that well – seeing as how I still have dreams that I’ve missed ten years of classes and I am walking the halls of my school headed for a test in a class that I haven’t attended, or for that matter can ever remember the name of. But really, enough of my dream life. Let’s get back to missing class.

This morning, we finally had the great pleasure of working with the ever-pleasant Sara, and her lovely assistant Amber. They stuck with us through thick and thin as we traversed the hills and valleys of Minot and other areas in search of the ever-elusive perfect picture; or picture perfect – whichever.

We thank them for all of their hard work, and now would like to reward one and all with some samples from our time shared – Enjoy!

*We really don’t endorse missing school. Remember kids, stay off the crack and stay in school!

Tuesdays with Natalie (and one’s & zero’s)

All this time I’ve been using the ‘Sundays With…’, and instead it should have been ‘Tuesdays With…’. I’m glad that I have this all straightened out, as it now gives me twice the number of options available as there were before. I’m not quite sure what I just typed meant, but it has increased the number of words used in this post substantially.

As the title of this post suggests, we spent the evening with the ever-so-friendly Natalie! She brought her super-duper-fun-high-octane self to the studio, as we grabbed up some of the reflected light, threw it at a sensor chip, which then converted it all to a big ol’ mess of one’s and zero’s, which we then transfered to our computer, and Jamie made ever so slight changes to the photographs, I networked myself to her computer, grabbed the images, and then moved those same (albeit slightly altered) one’s and zero’s to a web server somewhere in Pennsylvania (which means ‘Penn’s woods’ – shout out to Dr. J over at MSU for that), which led right to your eyes converting this new digital light being created on your screen into an upside down image in the back of your eye, which your brain turned right side up, and you are now able to associate what you have seen with previous things you have seen, which hopefully make you feel all warm inside.

So, on with the pics – Enjoy!

Blogathon v.6 – Lance & Melissa

We will conclude this posting frenzy with our new friends, Lance & Melissa! They took time to stop by the new studio to be our first clients to experience the new environment.

When they arrived, I pulled a complete classic and totally had no idea what was going on – remnants from my wild youth. I could not remember names, dates, or anything else other than the fact that I was pretty sure that they were familiar to me in a way. Finally, Jamie came along to save the day – as she can remember stuff (I’m mostly good at making the radio work.)

We thank them for making it down today, and look forward to working together soon! So – Enjoy!

Blogathon v.5 – Shana v.2

Got that – this is the fifth post of the blogathon, and the second post in the ongoing Senior Portraits of our friend, Shana. You can find her previous post here.

If you were a good blogger and looked at the previous post, you would have seen that previously, we were only able to complete her studio shots. Today, we were to have completed the outdoor section of her Senior Portraits. Again, however, we were stymied by the weather. But before we lost our beloved sun, we manages to get some shots with her totally awesome VW Bug. So, again, stay tuned as we will eventually manage to complete her session. So stay tuned, and here’s a shot from the morning – Enjoy
