Allison & Patrick

The Otis & James Caravan of Wedding Love just keeps it wheels spinning non-stop this time of year (we’re sure to keep them properly inflated, rotated and balanced, as the Caravan of Love ((which is not a Dodge Caravan, although it seems like it would be pretty cool if it was – especially the kind with the wood side panelling!)) must remain safe and fuel efficient at all times), and our next stop on the whirl-wind tour of all things wedding was an outdoor location, a wonderfully beautiful outdoor location, and it was for the supertotallyawesome wedding of Allison & Patrick!

Now, I could spend this paragraph telling you how much fun we had with the Bride, Groom and Wedding Party, but those of you that know this wonderful couple already know this to be the truth.  So instead, I will tell you that the time that we spent with this group was not only wonderful, but the work we did together was magicalfantastical!  Seriously, there’s some real good stuff going on just a few more words down this page.

Speaking of getting to the part where we all get to sit back and look at the sweetlysweet samplesnaps [ed.  What’s the dilly-yo on all the made up words tonight?  Your brain on full melt-down or what?] , I think that instead of just rambling on in that way that I seem to do more and more the older I get (I’m even at that point where I repeat the same stories to the same people over and over, not realizing that I’ve already put them through the fun process of hearing about the minutia of my day.  Treat for them!), we will instead just offer our heartfelt congratulations to Allison & Patrick on their wedding, and then give one and all that helped make this day so good a big ol’ helping of MuchLove & ManyThanks for being so awesome, and then – last but not least – to all my good people of Blogville soaking up another beautiful night – Enjoy!

Angie & Tim

And then we were there.  The day we had been waiting for.  And the day that Angie & Tim had been waiting for as well.  And I’m not talking about Double Coupon Day at the Piggly Wiggly (yes, in case you were wondering, I am 73 years old…but I look good, huh!), and I’m not even talking about when it’s your birthday, and you can eat free in certain restaurants, and get a complimentary birthday spanking at other places (actually, most of those places have been shut down, but we’ll always have the memories to hold on to), ladies and gents of Blogville, the day that I’m speaking of was the Wedding of Angie & Tim!

We’ve had the goodly wonderful pleasure of getting to know and working with this sweetlysweet couple over the last year, and it’s been nothing but a pleasure!  So, you can see that we were excited for this day (not that we aren’t always excited, especially since the operation both myself & Jamie had this last year that makes everything exciting (I tried many things during the Nineties that made things exciting as well, but this new excitement implant chip is much safer and legal.  Well, I’m not really sure if it is legal, as we had the procedure done in Haiti, but the ‘Doctor’ seemed to be a nice enough fellow…but enough about us), but this was like the normal excitement level that we have, but times like…ten or something like that.  And that’s a lot of excitement!

But seriously folks, we truly had a wonderful time working with Angie, Tim & their totally awesome wedding party!   They made the day a breeze, and – once again – we were just there with our cameras to capture the total photographic sweetness they were making.  Some people have it, and some people don’t.  I’m here to tell you that this group of peeps – they had it.  And that’s the straight dope.  I’m not jiving you.  I’m giving it to you straight.  And you can take that to the bank, all day long (again, I have no idea what that means, but I’m really starting to use it all the time…soon you will too…I promise.)

For those of you that are faithful bloggerites, you know that now is the time that we offer MuchLove & ManyThanks to this wonderful couple and everyone else that helped us make this day such a breeze, and to all of my shiny & happy peeps out there in land of blog on an evening so warm & muggy sitting by the glow of the bug lite and your digital interweb box – Enjoy!

Serena & Dan

Alright, everybody have their boarding passes?   Got your carry-on bag?  You do?  Great.  Because the Otis & James Caravan of Love is about ready to pull out of the Minot station, and travel back in time just a little bit, and go just south down the road to a land called Bismarck (some may call it B-Town, BizzileMack, or Biz-Markie, not to be confused with the performing artist of the same name, who did happen to have such a wonderful song back in the day, but I’m getting off track here), and the reason for this magicalfantastical excursion was to be a part of the wedded bliss of Serena & Dan!

It was an absolutely beautiful and wonderful day (duh, would it be any other way for their day?), and we were so very lucky to be a part of it!  You see, my dear inhabitants of digital Blogville, there could have been all sorts of other photographers there at this event, but we were lucky enough to be chosen!  It’s kind of like that one TV show where the dude is all single, and then there are these ladies, and then they are all vying for his affection, and he’s not there looking for his Rock of Like, or Rock of Lust, he’s there looking for his Rock of Love, and to promote his new superlame album, but instead of Brett Michaels choosing us with a fake backstage pass, Serena & Dan just signed a contract.  We find this to be less dramatic (nobody needs anymore baby mama drama then they already have, right?), but yet effective in ensuring that we are there for their wedding.

So, they chose us, and we couldn’t have been any happier!  It gave the Caravan of Love a chance to get out on the highway (and now that we’ve converted the engine to burning old fryer oil, and since we already had the fryer installed on the dash for emergency nuggets last year, it’s getting more and more economical to load the Caravan of Love up and go on a road trip.  The only problem is that we have to ingest more nuggets.  But we shouldn’t have too much of a problem doing that) and out of the land of Minotians, even if just for a night.

Man, I’m just gonna lay it on you like this, and give a huge MuchLove & ManyThanks to Serena and Dan for allowing us to be a part of their day, and for being so wonderful to work with!  And as long as I’m giving digital hugs, I’d also like to give one to everyone out there reading this, because you can never have too many friends or digital hugs!  Oh, and one more thing – Enjoy!

FNBM v.6 :: The Nicole & Toby Edition!

Dear Nicole & Toby,

I just wanted to let you know that you guys are awesome.  I know this may be a little forward of me for saying this, especially after we’ve only taken pictures that one time, but I’ve just been sitting here thinking about it, and I’m pretty sure I can say this, and know that it is true.

You know how like you just know things sometimes, and even though you may putting yourself out there too far by saying it so quickly in the photographic relationship by saying it, but you just have to say it?  Well, this is one of those times.

I hope that you feel the same way about o&j.

OK, that’s it.  I’ll let you go now.  I hope that all is wonderful with both of you guys, and know that we offer up a big bowl of MuchLove to you!  And if you happen to see any of the peeps of Blogville around, tell them to – Enjoy!

FNBM v.4 :: The Ashley & Chad Edition!

If there is one thing that I know about FunCenter, it is that we try to make the pictosnap taking process as painless as possible.  Really we do.  And really, when it comes right down to it, I’m not all that bright of a guy, and I really do only know about three things, two of which involve how to make a perfect Reuben sandwich, so I guess that it’s not really saying all that much to say that I do know this about the FunCenter, but – from what I understand – it’s good that I do know this, because it seems to be pretty important.

Like, you could all go to another photographer and they might make you feel all weird on the inside, and the time that you might spend with them may cause you to wince, or perhaps even wonder just how long a minute can really take, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with us.  I think it has something to do with the fact that myself, the Mr. Otis, likes to keep the studio at a balmy 67º during a shoot.  Always gotta have the music playing, and the air has to be moving, and cold.  Time moves much faster then.  It’s fact.  Scientific fact, and who am I to argue with science.

Again, what does this have to do with the totally awesome couple that is Ashley & Chad, you are probably asking yourselves?  You see, they too had a good time…or at least they pretended to…one or the other.  Either way it doesn’t make a difference because their snaps pretty much rocked, so it’s all good.  You heard me…all good!

With that antiquated bit of slang, I leave you now with MuchLove to this couple for wandering into our lives, and to all my good peeps out there in Land of Blog – Enjoy!

FNBM v.3 :: The Kelly & Ryan Edition!

And the train of love just kept on-a-rollin’, and this time our mission was to take images that were happening in real time, put some sort of a light source on them, and then to have the reflected light be caught on an image sensor that lurks behind glass and a shutter on our camera.  The subjects of this experiment were none other than new friends to the o&j empire (based more on empirical data than actual size or accumulated land), the ever-lovely Kelly & Ryan!

They, along with two canine friends (I’m sorry, I forgot the names, so I’ll just refer to them as the Huckelberry Hounds), bounded into the FunCenter just a rarin’ [ed. Is it frontier days around here, or what’s the deal with the ‘rarin’, and what exactly is ‘rarin?’  Just wondering] to go!  And, as you’ve probably already guessed, all was wonderful and perfect in the FunCenter for this wondrous shoot, and the results were fantastic (it must be something that we put into the air, and I’m thinking it’s Gonesh #2, in case you’re wondering)!

Now is the time that we give MuchLove to this couple for taking time from their day and giving it to us, and next comes the part when we tell all of you out there in the Land of Blog to – Enjoy!

Sophie & David

Gather ’round, my good children of blogville, as we’re about to step back in time…just a little bit…to a place that is called ‘Bismarck’ (b-town, for those in the know), and a magical time that, for the sake of finishing this sentence, we will call the wedding of Sophie & David!

As many of you out there know, the Otis & James Caravan of Love does indeed love its roadtrips (at the Bageldogs at Banjo’s in Scobey Montana will attest to), and we were – as usual – überexcited for another reason to blast free from the shackles of the Magic City (don’t take offense, my dear Minotians, as you know how much we love you…it’s just that it’s fun to shake it up from time to time, that way we can appreciate how wonderful our Northwest perch is…right?!  Right!) and take some totally awesome superweddingsnaps of this wondrous couple!

I could go on and on and on (and again, those of you that know this thing, this thing we have here can attest, I really could) about how much fun we had with this couple, and how totally awesome they were to work with, and how truly thankful we are that they allowed us to be a part of their day, but I don’t know why I should take any more time away from all you good peeps getting to the goods right below and seeing a little bit o’ sneak peak of what we did on this fine day!  So, I will stop now with all this tippytappy typing, give MuchLove & ManyThanks to Sophie, David and everyone else that made our day so great, and let all of you out there in Land of Blog know that you should – Enjoy!

Tara & Adam

Folks, I’m gonna give it to your straight here.  It’s time once again to pack your bags and jump on the Otis & James Caravan of Love for a trip to a little town that sometimes goes by the name of Williston!  Folks, I’m also gonna give you some other straight up truth information.  We did not just point the Caravan (wouldn’t it be awesome if we actually showed up in a mid-eighties Dodge Caravan, replete with wood paneling and everything else good that goes right along with that!  Personally, I would love that.  There has been some objection to my affinity toward mini-vans in the past in the company, so I don’t think it would ever really be a possibility.  But a man has got to dream, after all…) to the west because Jim Morrison told us to.  We didn’t even do it because we hadn’t been to the Airport International for a while.  No no no.  None of these were the reasons.

The true reason we had the good fortune of paying this lovely town a visit was for the wedding of Tara & Adam!  You see, my dear good people of blogville, we were the official photographical engineers (dude, I swear, it’s what we’re called) of this wedding, and rest assured – we photographically engineered the heck out of this thang.  True story.

But you want to know something else?  The sweetlyawesomeness that are these photographs are for one reason only:  because Tara, Adam, and everyone else that worked with us on this day made it sweetlyawesome.  And that’s the straight dope.  We had a wonderful time, and would now like to take the rest of this sentence to offer MuchLove & ManyThanks to Tara & Adam for being so wonderful, and to all my good people out there in Land of Blog, sitting on your front porches watching the sun set on another wonderful day – Enjoy!

Pam & Allen

Hello there my good people of Blogville!  I come to you on this afternoon so fine with the oh so wondrous news that the Otis & James Caravan of Love pulled out of the Minot station and into the Rugby station, not just to play a good, lively, and spirited game of rugby, but to also partake in the wedded bliss of none other than the wondrous and fine couple that are known as Pam & Allen! [ed.  Apparently wondrous and fine were your last two words of the day, right.]

This year, the Caravan of Love (sounds kind of hippydippy, I know) has spent more time on the road and less time in Minot than ever, and it’s been all so exciting!  It’s kind of like being on a world tour, if the world only consisted of North Dakota, which would be kind of strange, because in that case, Fargo would be China and Williston would be…well…whatever the other side of the world from China would be, and then Minot would be, well…Australia?  Somebody with more skills in cartography is going to have to work this up for me, as I’m not here to speak of any more worldly events, other than the totally and complete awesomeness that was the Wedding of Pam & Allen!

As is the norm with all of our wedding clients, we had a completely righteous time working with them (ha – you want to call it work, I call it making glorious pictosnaps!), and they couldn’t have been any easier to work with, and our day flew by with awesomeness!  We would like to sincerely thank one and all that helped us make these pics so great – to Pam & Allen MuchLove & Many Thanks – and to all my good peeps out there in Land of Blog sunning themselves on their rooftop terraces, – Enjoy!

Meagan & Josh

And here we found ourselves again, in the magicalmystery land that is called Harvey, which – much to my chagrin – is not home to large make-believe rabbits.  In my mind, however, I will continue to think that it is, and that the Harvey Board of Tourism and Cultural Enrichment [ed.  Are you sure about the title of this group??  It seems a little…ummm…how do I put this, not democratic?  Just wondering.]  should continue to promote the idea that seeing a large rabbit named Harvey is always a possibility in Harvey.

We were not in Harvey looking for such things that only reside in our heads, The Otis & James Caravan of Love actually had the good pleasure of pulling into the Harvey station in order to partake in the wedding of – none other than wonderful friends to the o&j family – Meagan & Josh!

Now that I think of it, I do think that this Harvey Board of Tourism and Cultural Enrichment should actually promote the fact that the town was lucky enough to host an event so wondrous as their wedded bliss!  I can see it now, ‘Welcome To Harvey!  The Place Where The Wedding of Meagan & Josh Happened!’  Well, we can work on the title, but you get my drift.

As is the norm with all of our beautifullywonderul clients, we had an awesome time working with them and their equally lovely wedding party, and we would like to offer MuchLove & ManyThanks to one and all that worked with us on this day!  Remember, we just bring the camera’s – you guys bring the goods!  Well, I think it be time that we put all of these words to bed, count our blessings for another wonderful wedding, and say to all of my good peeps in Blogville on a night so fine – Enjoy!
