William & Michelle
For this post, I will just let the photographs do the talking. They are a beautiful couple, their wedding party was fabulous, and our day couldn’t have been any better. We thank them for allowing us to be a part of their day, and wish them all the best in their new life together. Enjoy!

Off With The Turkey, On With The Couples!
Oh now, some people spend the day after Thanksgiving running around shopping malls, assaulting each other for video games and what not, but we like to do things a little more relaxed around the Otis & James Super Store (no relation to the Wally-World Super Empire.)
Instead of all this insanity, we spent a little quality time with old, old friends of James – Aaron & Katie (well, Aaron is old school, and Katie is new-old school.) This next summer, we are going to be spending a little more time with them as we are lucky enough to have been selected to be their wedding photographers! We are anxiously awaiting this special day, but for now take a little sneak-peek at our friends – Enjoy!

William & Michelle…(a little late)
Otis & James come to you at this late our with our collective tail between our legs. It seems that in the midst of all the commotion and whatnot around the studio, our friends William & Michelle were left off of the blog!!
We want everyone to experience the blog, and when something like this happens we feel awful!! So instead of just offering our thanks to this beautiful couple for choosing us, we instead say thank you and we’re sorry! Even though every sentence seems to end with an exclamation point, it’s true. So we humbly present these photographs as a sort of an olive branch, and also to showcase the full on beauti-osity of this super-duper fun couple – Enjoy!

Tony & Renae
This past Saturday, we had the great honor of being a part of the wedding of Tony & Renae! You may remember them from their previous visit to the blog – or you may know them in real life – either way they were absolutely great to work with!
We ventured to the great city of Kenmare for the big event. This was our first time working in the big city, and we had a wonderful time! Everyone was great – family, friends, wedding pary were all rockin’! Even though the wind was blowing a little on the insane side, The happy couple didn’t even let it phase them.
We thank Tony & Renae and wish them a heartfelt congratulations! Thanks to you and your families – Enjoy!

Daxon & Ann
After what has seemed like an eternity of e.mails and telephone calls, Otis & James finally had the great, great pleasure of meeting Daxon & Ann this past Thursday (even though I was convinced that we were meeting the previous Thursday), and then yesterday found ourselves at their long-awaited reception! We were supposed to meet some time ago, but due to some problems in Jamestown (which may or may not have involved Otis, the authorities, and a travelling carnival) were never able to do so. And then, we had our early October Super Snow Storm, which made it seem like we woudn’t have a chance to meet them yet again! In our minds, it seemed as if we had been waiting forever to meet them, but in perspective, our wait was nothing.
Sometimes, it’s easy to get caught up in the day to day stuff that can bog a person down. It’s easy to get all wound up in things that really aren’t that big of a deal. Yesterday, at the reception for this beautiful couple, it was easy to see the things that are truly important. It was easy to see the love that is between this couple, and their families. When we find ourselves in a situation such as this, the photographs are just given to us – all that we do is turn the camera on and point it in the general area and the rest just happens.
We were lucky to work with this great group, we were lucky to work with this great couple, and we are lucky for the sacrifice that those such as Daxon have made, and continue to make, for us every day. We thank Daxon & Ann for this, and we wish this couple all the happiness life has to offer – Enjoy!

Travis & Leah!
Leah & Travis just happened to be standing around our studio at 8:30 this morning, so we naturally brought them in for some photographic fun! They got the day off to a bang (which makes it sound like they had some sort of a song and dance number worked up, which they did not), and totally rocked it up in the studio.
We then decided that they should be exposed to the outdoor element. They were tough, and we got some super-sweet-shots. We thank them for being so gracious, and we invite you to come back next summer to see some more photographs of them! But for now, let these snaps tide you all over – Enjoy!

BTMFB v.1 . Jamie & Jared!
This last Saturday we funned it up in the good ol Studio with our new friends Jamie & Jared! They were sharp dressed, ready to take on the town. But before they did, they managed to stop by O&J Central for some snappity-snaps.
We look forward to working with them in the future; in the year 2856. You see, they are not of this earth… I kid. They are from this earth, and we will be photogs (I love that term) for their wedding. The big show will actually be this coming year – so all you O&J Bloggers (I shall call you all O-Gers) should keep your eyes peeled for their thrilling conclusion!
Thank you J&J – and Enjoy!

DO1MP V.3 . James & Erin!
This past Thursday we had the honor of spending the day with James & Erin; and wouldn’t you know it – it was their wedding day as well! The Otis & James caravan of Love pulled into glorious Stillwater, MN, on an absolutely beautiful day!
Before we get too far with this, we need to backtrack to the day before (which was not such a lovely day – click here for an article about the storms.) As we hunkered down at our friends house (click here to see our friends), surrounded by hundereds of candles (seriously – when in need of a candle, just mention this to Deb as she can provide about 219 in four minutes flat), it didn’t look too good for the wedding the next day.
The high winds, downed power lines and torrential rains made it hard for us to escape our confines, so James actually had to conduct our last meeting with the Bride & Groom via candlelight and cellphone – bridging the gap from the 19th and 21st century. Old Otis & James didn’t even know how they were going to be able to charge their many batteries in preparation for the wedding (drama, suspense, etc.)
They awoke on Thursday to find that the power was back, and the skies were clearing. By the time we made it to Stillwater, they day had revealed itself to be glorious. When we made it to the actual location – we knew that this day was going to be absolutely beautiful!
We had a great group of people to work with, a beatiful couple, a beautiful day, and a beautiful location! Well, seeing as how this post is running at about 1000 words, I will stop running my mouth – or moving my fingers – and let’s just get on to some snaps from the day. James & Erin – thank you, and congratulations! Enjoy!

Pat & Christi
This past Saturday, the Otis & James caravan rolled over and up to beautiful Upham, a part of the never ending summer of weddings!
Pat & Christi were a late addition to the summer tour, and we are so happy that we were able to be a part of their super-big day. We had a great time working with this awesome group, and we thank one and all for their work to make these photographs really sweeeeeeet. Also a special thanks to the Northern Lights for making a special guest appearance.
So, to summarize: Upham is good, glad to have Pat & Christi on board, good group to work with, Northern Lights creepy/cool. Congratulations to the Bride & Groom, and on with the snappy-snaps – Enjoy!
