Rick & Terri

It was another gorgeous (and hot) day in Minot – perfect for the wedding of Rick & Terri. At the start of the week, it looked like the wedding might be a little wet, but no such story here. We had a great time – it has been fun working with these two over the past few months, and we will miss our communications (that makes it sound very robotic – it was far from that.)

Here are some pics from the day – a big congratulations to the newlyweds!

Back Home with Matthew & Krissy!

After one of the hardest/longest/most miserable card ride of our lives, we returned to Minot, just in time for the wedding of Matthew & Krissy. The weather was beautiful, the ceremony was Nordic, and the Bride & Groom were great. It was a beautiful wedding!

Here’s some of the day – enjoy!

Troy & Deb . OJT2K5.7

I had the pleasure today of being a part of the wedding of two of my closest friends. At many weddings, there will be printed on various things the statement, ‘Today I married my best friend…’, it is overused, and is printed on everything. Today, however, I felt this to be the truth.

I have known Deb since Kindergarten at Snail Lake Elementary, and consider Troy to be one of my best friends. Maybe it could say ‘Today my best friends were married’.

We were thilled when this day came, and grateful to be a part of it. Congratulations Troy & Deb!

Here are some shots of the day – enjoy!

Back Home in Shoreview . OJT2K5.6

I had the pleasure of taking a trip back to the old hometown, Shoreview, for the Groom’s Dinner of my great friends Troy & Deb. It was the good ol’ days all over again. A hot summer day on Turtle Lake Road – for one night only I was 18 again.

The dinner was great – the company even better. It was great to commune with these friends I so rarely see. I ended the night with making amends with the family of one of my dear friends, Aisling. Previous to this night, my last encounter with the family occured with me face down in the snow after a morning and eventually evening of far too many Bloody Mary’s. Needless to say, not a great lasting impression to give. But on this muggy night, 10 or so years later I found myself in their kitchen, and any memories of old vanished. My Irish Family, I thank you for taking me back!

Here are some images from the night – enjoy!

Rob & Audrey – OJT2K5.1

It was a hot summer day today for the wedding of Robin & Audrey. Otis & James Tour 2005 (OJT2K5) left Minot headed for our first destination of Flasher, North Dakota. We had a great time with the family and the wedding party, and wish a hearty congratulations to the new Husband and Wife.

Here are some pics of the day – pay close attention to The Thinker – one of our fav’s.

Back Home with Josh & Aftin

Our cross-state tour ended today, just in time for the wedding of Joshua & Aftin. In yet another instance of a long-distance wedding, we finally met both the Bride & Groom today. They are a wonderful couple, and they too have very gracious and hospitable families.

We had a great time with the Bride, Groom and wedding party – and we’d like to share some photographs from the day.

Enjoy!

On the Road . Post #3 – Matt & Kim

We were finally able to meet both Matt & Kim today, and it happened to be on their Wedding Day. Since we had our equipment with us, we thought we’d help out.

As it sometimes goes with long-distance weddings, we weren’t able to meet both the Bride & Groom together until the event itself, but due to the incredible amount of hospitality that was afforded us, we were made to feel like family. We were lucky because the sister of Matt is a good friend to Otis & James – Ali (click here for proof).

The wedding was gorgeous, we were happy to be a part of it – congratulations to the new Husband & Wife!

On the Road . Post #1

Crossing the state to bring our services to you…Otis & James.
We began the day in Bismarck, stopped back home in Minot where we had the pleasure of experiencing a minor plumbing nightmare (is there such a thing as anything minor involving plumbing), and then hit the road again, this time with Fargo as our destination.

Immediately upon arrival, we had a shoot with Shawn & Meg. They put up with us (and the killer swarm of mosquitoes) long enough to get the job done – and even get some cute pics! Below are a couple of samples –

Enjoy!

Duane & Gina

It was mad windy today – and if I’m actually using the phrase ‘mad windy’, it truly must have been. The breeze didn’t bother Duane & Gina – they handled it with complete ease and class. It was a lovely ceremony, and we were happy to be a part of it. We’ve had fun working with the newlyweds over the past few months, and wish them a sincere congratulations!

Here’s a few samples of the day (in the solo shot of Gina – she survives the faces that were being made at her miraculously well!)

Enjoy –
