It’s Late Nite With LJ!

One of the best things, or I guess one of the perks of owning a photo-graphy studio is that when someone like our Godson, the one & only LJ comes up to Minot for a visit, well…it gives us a chance to take a whole ton of pics!  Now, the thing about LJ is that by this point, he really knows how to work the camera (Aunt Jamie has been pretty good at making him into a super-studmuffin in front of the lens), so we just let him be his wonderful self!

So, a little while ago when he was in town, he stopped on down to the FunCenter with Grandma & Grandpa, and showed us how it was done.  He knew it was time to update the giant 30×40 print of him that is currently hanging in the gallery, so he brought the goods.  He brought his A-Game.  And I’m thinking there’s going to be a new giant pic of him in our studio pretty soon.  We work with so many beautiful & lovely children at the FunCenter, and LJ is no exception (although we must admit, we really really like it when he graces us with his presence!)

Well, enough of all these words.  We just wanted to share a couple of snaps, and we also recommend that while looking, you click the play button (for Jamaica, you know?!)  Oh, and be sure to – Enjoy!

Hold On To Your Socks…It’s Drew!

My fellow citizens of Blog.  There are many things in life that you will, and should, hold on to.  The ones you love.  Family heirlooms.  Gold bullion.  Hands.  Hand railings.  And sometimes, when there are things that are so awesome that there really isn’t even a word for just how awesome they are…your socks.  This, my friends, is one of those instances.

You see, when the goods are that good, when the greats are just that great, your socks will go flying off.  If you’re lucky, you’ll be at a desk, and they’ll just hit the wall.  If you’re unlucky, they may shoot across your office and into the face of a co-worker that you might have kind of  a crush on, and they will realized that a)they don’t match, and b)dude…they smell.

For your sake, and for your co-workers sake, I hope they just hit the wall.  If not, we bear no responsibility for anything else.  Because, you see, Drew is just that awesome.  In fact, my socks just lit on fire.  It hurts.  But I’m going to type through the pain, because telling you how much fun it was to work with Drew is worth it.  We need to scream it from the mountaintop that our time with Drew was all too fleeting, and we wish that every Senior could be as awesome as he that we call Drew.

OK.  Now my feet are really really hot, and I think that it’s time for me to put these words to bed.  But just you wait there.  Because before we do that, we gotta give MuchLove & MadProps to Drew for being so good to us (as well as to his lovely assistant Nikkry for gracing us with her presence too), and to you – all my good People of Blog enjoying a day oh so lovely – Enjoy!

Ladies & Gents…It’s Brenna!

It’s Friday!  The best day of the week.  And do you want something that’s going to make this day just a little bit more super better?  How about if I were to lay on you that it is now time for us to enjoy the wonderfulawesomeness that are the super samplesnaps of the one & only Brenna!

See.  Friday just got all that much better.  Even if, as you’re reading this, it isn’t Friday, [ed.  Might want to figure out how to use commas] these pics are going to give you the exact same feeling as being in a Friday on a beautiful summer day!  And do you want to know why I say this?  Well, I don’t care if you do or if you don’t, because I’m going to tell you either way.  It’s because Brenna is just that wonderful!

When she came through the doors of the FunCenter and into our lives for that brief time on a day oh so recent, our existences became a little bit more meaningful.  The Sun shone a little brighter, and the birds tweets were just a little bit louder.  So, when I say that Brenna was awesome, it’s no joke folks.  It’s the straight story, and I’m sticking to it.

Before we get to the goods, we gotta give Brenna a huge MuchLove & ManyThanks for stopping down to FunCenter and letting us be a part of her life for just a little bit, and to you…all my good peeps of blog – Enjoy!

Kelly & Josh

Oh, my dear dear citizens of Blogville.  As I type this, you are either deep in a slumber, soon to wake up, or – if you’re like me – you have something so good going on that the day hasn’t yet ended.  In my case, the thing that I have that is so good, the thing that is keeping me awake as my fingers stumble across the keyboard in search of the right letters to hit in order to make some sort of a cohesive sentence, this thing – this thing that I speak of is the totally awesome fact that I have at my fingertips the ability to share with you the superfantasticsamplesnaps of a couple that goes by the name of Kelly & Josh!

Now, it would be enough for me just to have some random snapshots of this beautiful couple, as they are just that wonderful.  But the pics that I have to share with you are way more than that.  MmmmHmmm.  They are samplesnaps from their wedding day.  You heard me.  Their wedding day!  See – I’m not messing around here.  This is the real deal.  There’s no time for jive-talking, there’s only time for straight-talking.  And that’s what I’m going to give you right now.

See, there was this magical day, only a short time ago, on a beautiful early Summer Saturday, when we had the wondrous pleasure of working with this lovely couple, as well as their lovely wedding party & family!  And we were lucky enough to be a part of it, and we are so happy that this was the case because each & every person that was a part of this day made our job so easy.  Push the button.  Take the pic.  That’s all we did – they turned on the magic, and that’s the straight talk, baby.  No jive.

But enough of me telling you about it, it’s time that you witness what it is that I am jibbahjabbering about.  Before we get to the samplesnaps, we would be remiss to not give a huge MuchLove & ManyThanks to Kelly & Josh for choosing us, and to all of you out there in Land of Blog on a late night/early morning so fine – Enjoy!

My Peeps. It’s Time To Groove. It’s Time For Tyler.

Do any of us really know what that title means?  Are we really supposed to know what it means, or is it just a way for me to get these sweetlysweet seniorsnaps of Tyler to you without just giving a title like, ‘Tyler.  Senior Portraits.’, which would be absolutely no fun at all.  That’s the kind of label that goes on your permanent file, whatever that may be.  And we’re not about that.  In fact, my dear Friends of Blog, we’re all about getting our photographic groove on, and this time we were assisted by the one & only, the class act that is…Tyler.

Now, for those of you that are wondering, ‘What do they mean by this photographic groove?’  Well, it’s nothing weird.  In fact, it’s good.  There really is no way to explain it other than to say you know when you’re in it.  If you want proof of this, all you gotta do is look a little further down, past these words to the samplesnaps, and you’ll feel what I speak of.  Dig?  Great.

The hour is late, and I shall not waste any more of your time with these silly words.  Instead, I just need to give tyler a giant bowl full of MuchLove for stopping by FunCenter and giving us some of his sweet & precious time, and not it’s time for me to tell all my good Peeps of Blog to – Enjoy!

Kassy & Zach

Once again, my dear Children of Blog, it’s time to gather ’round the ol’ digital glow of your interweb machines…for I am about to tell you a story about a wonderful & beautiful couple that go by the names of Kassy & Zach!  Now, it would be enough for me to just tell you some details about them, because they are just that awesome, but the story I’m going to tell is way better than that.  It’s a story about the two of them, a bunch of family & friends, and a wedding.

You heard me right, folks.  A wedding!  Yahoo for weddings!  And a doublewahoo for the wedding of this awesome couple!

We loaded up the Otis & James Caravan of Love (now featuring a 3 gallon jug of cheese puffs), and headed South to a magical and fantastical land called Bismarck.  The Mighty B.  The Capitol of our state.  Whatever you want to call it – we went there.  But not only did we go there, we also went to a pretty freaking sweet place where huge flying hawks that are black are, and took some of the straight up coolest pics we’s ever taken.

But it wasn’t the locations that made this day so awesome, it was this sweet couple and their equally sweet family & wedding party that made our job a breeze.  All we had to do was push the button on the camera – they were the ones that made all the magic.  We would love to give a gigantor MuchLove & ManyThanks to Kassy & Zach, and also to everyone that made our day so great!  Oh, and to all of you out there reading this on such a lovely summer day – Enjoy!

The Adventures of Carly (Barracuda’s Not Included)!

MIC CHECK.  MIC CHECK.  This thing on?  It’s been a while, so I gotta make sure all of you out there can here me.  We good?  Even in back – all you all can hear?  A little loud…ok…gettin’ some feedback.  Alright, we’ll just cut that back a touch.  There.  I think we’re good now.

Now that we’re all dialed into the Otis & James Informational Network of Information and Things (O&JINOIAT), I come to you now with some wondrous news.  You ready?  Great.  Because here goes.  On a day that wasn’t all that long ago (I do declare it was a day that even occurred during this last week), we had the greatly good pleasure of working with our VERY FIRST SENIOR of the 2010 season!

It just seems like yesterday that we were spending all of our time with the 2009 peeps, but they’re old news now.  They’re all grown up.  Losing their hair, going grey, settling down and what not.  The action now – my dear Friends of Blog – is with the class of 2010.  Man, just typing that it seems like the freaking future.  Robots & flying cars…everywhere.

But before I digress into some crazed-out thoughts on robots and such things, I think we should instead talk about a lady that stopped by the FunCenter to have some totally awesome seniorsnaps taken.  This lady…Carly for those of you in the know…was, in a word, totallyawesome.  You heard me right.  She brought the goods.  She tore it up.  She wrecked the place.  She set the bar high for anyone that will come after her this year.  Which begs the question, ‘Carly.  Why you gotta be so good?’

I don’t know if there will ever be an answer.  What I do know is that after some research, Barracuda’s are not land dwelers.  It was not a barracuda hole that Jamie stepped into.  Although, it may have been an Anaconda.  Thankfully, we weren’t attacked.  If we had been, the good news would be that Carly would have had some sweet last pics taken before the attack of the Barracuda.  But I repeat, it didn’t happen.  We’re all safe.  DO NOT BE ALARMED.

Well, engough of all this gibbajabba, it is time for us to give a huuuuge MuchLove to Carly for being so awesome, and to my good Peeps of Blog – Enjoy!
