Evonne & Alan

Yo!  Check this out!  I’m coming to you tonight with a wonderful story!  I’m also ending every sentence with an exclamation point!  I don’t know how to stop this!  OK, I’ll stop with the overuse of the punctuation, starting now.  So, what I’m gonna ask you to do us to pull your digital chair in front of your digital information box (computer), hook yourself into the world wide web, and prepare thy digital brain for this story.  Are you ready?  OK.  Good.  Here we go.

You see, my dear digital Friends of Blog, there was this time and this place, not all that long ago when a totally awesome thing happened.  Two wonderful people, that call themselves Evonne & Alan had the wondrously great pleasure of getting married to one another!  I had to use an exclamation mark there.  And, as if this wasn’t enough, the Otis & James Gang (no relation to The James Gang) had the totally awesome pleasure of being a part of this lovely day!

And, on this particular day, The Otis & James Caravan of Love travelled to a place called Bottineau…which is a magical and mysterious land of giant turtles, among other things.  Under the skillful direction of our photographer Emily and her assistants Maureen, Chris & Benjamin, the pictosnaps were awesome…and this was not made possible solely through our intrepid staff, it was really because Evonne, Alan & their totally sweet wedding party knew what the dilly-yo was.

Let me make that clear to you squares that might be reading this.  They knew how to work it.  They tore it up.  They rocked the house.  And that’s a fact.  But you don’t really need me here to tell you these things, all you really need to do is gaze at the lovely samplesnaps just a-waitin’ for your eyes a few short words away.  Before that, we gotta give MuchLove & ManyThanks to everyone that made this day so wonderful, and to all my good peeps out there in Land of Blog on a cool & late Summer night – Enjoy!

Allison & Mark

Gather ’round, my dear Children of Blog, because I’m about to tell you a story.  It’s a story about when the Otis & James Caravan of Love pulled out of the Minot station, and headed South to a land called Bismarck!  Now, I don’t want you to think we only did this to visit the State Capitol, or to even go to the Heritage Center…even though we did kind of do both of these things.

No, my good friends, the reason for our Southern sojourn was so we could be a part of the fabulous wedding of Allison & Mark!  I suppose you might be wondering why I’m calling the the ‘fabulous’ wedding, and I’m here to tell you that the reason why is because I can not tell a lie.  I know that someone famous said the same thing, and it may have involved cutting down a cherry tree or something like that, and it also seems to me that the story that I speak of is completely false and was proven to be nothing more than some sort of a morality fable, but people have just accepted it to be the truth because they’ve heard it so many times, but that only goes to show that just because you hear thing repeated doesn’t exactly mean that they’re true, but that doesn’t have anything to do with anything here, it’s just a statement of fact, and what this has to do with anything is that I can not tell a lie, and the wedding of Allison & Mark was truly, truly fabulous!

The reason for this, you may be wondering, is because they – along with everyone else that was involved with making the beautiful pictosnaps – made the day completely wonderful on all levels!  They brought their A-Game [ed.  You’ve never played a sport in your life, please stop trying to use sporting analogies – it reeks of insincerity.] and judging by even these few sample snaps that lie just below these wind-baggy words, I most definitely am not telling a lie.

So, with all of these words swirling around your head, I think it best be time that we put them all to bed, give MuchLove & ManyThanks to Allison & Mark for letting us be a part of their day, and to all of my little cowboys & cowgirls out there in Land of Blog on a Summer night so wonderful – Enjoy!

Kelly & Josh!

Oh yeah…hey…it’s me again.  Just thought that I would throw a ray of beautiful pictoriffic sunshine your way via the information superhighway (the interweb), and more specifically through what we in the world of o&j call ‘the blog’, and I’m not gonna do it through putting up a bunch of pictures of me and my doggie, or even me eating a grilled cheese sandwich (even though pictures of me eating a grilled cheese sandwich are very interesting, and I think some form of performance art, but I’ll leave those for later.)  Nope.  Instead, I’m going to put the sunshine into your lives via the wonderful sample snaps of Kelly & Josh!

You see, there was this time, that wasn’t all that long ago, when this dynamic duo sauntered into our studio and informed us that they needed some sweet bippy e.pics taken.  Well…it was something like that.  I know they came into the studio, and I know we took their pics.  But they may not have sauntered, and they may have actually scheduled an appointment in advance, but those things are just details, and I’m here more to weave a yarn than to provide an actual historical document of the time Kelly & Josh came to visit us.

Oh yes, back to Kelly & Josh!  Did I forget to mention that they were totally awesome, and the short time that we spent together was filled to the brim with excitement and pictoriffic goodness of all sorts?!  Well, I just told you, so now you know!

But who am I to just sit here and ramble on about how good they are, when you could just look at the sample pics and see for yourself.  So I will stop, and I will give MuchLove & ManyThanks to Kelly & Josh for beins so awesome, and to all of my good peeps of blog that are always so awesome – Enjoy!

Kaela & Josh!

Do you know what I dig about my job?  I mean, besides the fact that I get to make all the rules, follow only the ones that I choose to, I get to boss around employees, I can be late and nobody will write me up for it, there is no human resources department, I don’t have to be a part of any ‘performance reviews’, there are no mandatory in-services that I need to attend, I don’t have someone that is younger, less-educated and just straight up dumber than me bossing me around…well…you get the drift.  In case you haven’t already figured this out, I’ve pretty much been fired or asked to quit just about every job I’ve ever had before.  I’m not the kind of person that likes to be put ‘in a box’…I get cagey.  Or boxey.  Something like that.  But do you know what I dig more than all of those awesome things?  Getting to work with beautiful people like Kaela & Josh!

You see, that is really the best part of the job!  Every day, beautiful people come into our lives, just like this very wondrous couple, and we get to take wonderful pictosnaps of them.  And that, my dear friends, is the best part of the job…and that’s the truth!  You know what, I’m going to put these words to bed.  Before we get to the awesome samplesnaps, I gotta give MuchLove & ManyThanks to this wonderful couple for giving us some of their valuable time, and to all my good people out there in the Land of Blog, keeping a watchful eye over the town that is currently sleeping – Enjoy!

Charity & Andy

Hello my dear dear friends of Blogville!  I come to you today, on this fine late Summer Saturday afternoon with a wonderful story, and some even better pics for you to gaze upon!  We’ll start with the story first.  You see, if we were to hop into the Otis & James Wayback Machine (and I’ll spare you having to actually get in it and push the empty McDonald’s bags out of the way so you can squeeze in), we could go back to a time and a place when the Otis and the James were just getting started out in this crazy crazy world that now occupy.

The reason that we would go back is because we would be able to see that one of our original clients, and an original supporter of what we do here is none other than this wonderful couple that we like to call Charity & Andy!  In this time and this land oh so long ago, all we had was a one foot by two foot sign with our name on it, a back room in our office, a computer and a camera.  We believed in big things for ourselves, but it was hard to find others that felt this same way (we kept thinking, ‘if you build it, they will come’, but we hadn’t really built anything.)

Through some sort of a magical twist of fate, Charity came into our lives first, as at that time Andy was serving our country in Iraq.  Eventually, Charity came to work with us offering hair and makeup to our Seniors.  Not only that, but we soon came to call Charity an honest to goodness good friend!  Not long after this, Andy completed his tour and we had the double-good pleasure of meeting him, and working with them as a couple.  We soon became friends with Andy too, and this friendship has lasted all the way until today!

Soon our little o&j world became something bigger, and time marched on.  Also, Charity & Andy found themselves leaving our little neck of the woods behind for bigger cities.  But we still remained friends, and when it came time for them to go from just being a couple to being a husband & wife, we were honored that they chose us to be a part of their big day!  Well, I guess we would have been pretty sad if they had chosen an other area photographer, but we would have respected their choice.  But we’re happy that they chose us, because being able to shoot the wedding was like putting the final chapter in this book (there will be other books – sequels to this book.  Look for them soon.)

Well, I’ve rambled on here long enough.  I just want to say how much we’ve appreciated everything Charity & Andy have done for us over the past years, and they are a part of how we got to where we are!  We wish them all the happiness in the world, and know that we will see them and work with them soon!  Also, a big MuchLove & ManyThanks to everyone that helped make this day go so well, and to all me good peeps out there in Land of Blog – Enjoy!

BMWNROR v.25 :: The Jody & Brent Edition!

Dig, if you will, my good friends of blog.  For I’m about to lay on you some totally awesome sample pictosnaps.  So what I’m asking you to do is to strap yourselves in, sit back, and get ready to let the good times roll.  Because you’re about to have your visual world rocked.

And what, exactly, is it that will be rocking your world?  Well, none other than the righteous e.pics (and If I have to explain to you one more time that the ‘e’ stands for ‘engagement’ I’m going to explode) of the wonderful and lovely Jody & Brent!  You see, they strolled on in to the FunCenter in need of some e.pics, we just happened to be their with our camera’s, and the rest…is history.

There shall be no more words.  Just MuchLove to this wonderful couple for giving us some of their time, and to all my good children of Blog sitting around your computers on a day when you should be outside – Enjoy!

My dear people of blog, out there sitting at your digital workstations reading this.  I’m going to make this short & sweet (which also used to be a nickname of much of my 7th grade year.)  All you gotta do is look at the totallyawesome samplesnaps right beneath these words (no peaking!) to understand how awesome a couple Kristen & Brock are.

Seriously.

BMWNROR v.19 :: The Lindsay & Darin Edition!

There was a land and a time, a long long time ago…to be exact…it seems like we were not even at our current location, when we were first introduced to this couple, and now, oh so many years in the future, we found ourselves lucky enough to work with them for the first time (I’ll give you a hint what they’re next time will be – she’ll be wearing a wedding dress), and what a wonderful time it was!

I’m not sure if that paragraph made any sense, but these words really don’t need to make much sense, all that they really need to do is convey the idea that Lindsay & Darin came to FunCenter, and they rocked it up.  Straight up.  No lie.  MmmmmHmmmm.

So, now that you know the story, me thinks it be time to put these words to bed, give MuchLove & ManyThanks to Lindsay & Darin for stopping by and being so wonderful to work with, and say to all of me peeps out in Blogland – Enjoy!

BMWNROR v.16 :: The Alison & Jason Edition!

Gather ’round the digital glow of your computers, my dear friends, for I’m about to weave a yarn (that’s authentic frontier gibberish for ‘tell a story’) about a couple of old and dear friends to the Otis & James FunCenter, none other than the always wonderful and beautiful Alison & Jason!

It seems just like yesterday, and yet it seems like a lifetime ago that they first entered into our lives.  We were at our old location, and I’m pretty sure that Jamie was still in High School.  Anyway, they strolled on into our lives, we took some snaps, and they told us that they were going to be getting married in a few years, and wanted us to be a part of the day!

Now, at first, Otis was excited, because he thought that he might be asked to be the flowergirl, but after he calmed down Jamie helped him realize that we would be the photog’s.  That’s professional speak for ‘photographer’, or ‘pictosnapper’, in case you were wondering.  At the time, it seemed wild to book us for something that was so far in the distance.  I remember way back when they booked us, everyone thought that by 2008 there would be flying cars, and we would all have food replicators in our kitchens, and robot’s named Rosie would clean our houses for us.  Alright, so apparently I thought the future was going to be an episode of The Jetson’s, but I’m not a scientist, alright.  Cut me some slack here.

Well, the days led to weeks, and those led to months, and before we knew it, we were staring down this momentous and once oh so far away day right in the face!  And I’m going to let you in on a little secret.  All of the anticipation, all of the hype leading up to this day – it was all worth it; because the day was totally and completely wonderful!

This was made possible not via a grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, this was made possible neither from viewers like you, it was made possible by none other than Alison, Jason the Wedding Party and their families!  They were all wonderful, and we truly thank them for making the day so great!

Well, I’ve sauntered down this avenue of words a little bit too long, and it’s now time for us to give MuchLove & ManyThanks to this lovely couple for letting us be a part of their day, and to all the good people of blogville enjoying an evening so wonderful – Enjoy!

BMWNROR v.15 :: The Courtney & Michael Edition!

Alright now, do you know what time it is???  It’s time for us to step into the Otis & James Wayback Machine, and go back in time…just a little bit now…to a town called Bismarck, and for a most wonderful event that was called The Wedding of Courtney & Michael!  I don’t know if you’re all ready for this, or maybe you were born ready.  Either way, it’s time to strap yourselves in to this old jalopy so we can see the goods.

These goods, I speak of, are the wonderfully superawesome sample wedding snaps I know all of you out there in the digital world of the internet have been dying to see!  Well, I guess I don’t know how badly you’ve been wanting to see them, but I’ve seen them, and if I were you, I would be dying to see them, because the samplesnaps are just about as awesome as awesome can be!  What’s that?  You want to see some proof of this?

Oh well there, my cyber-friend, don’t worry.  Because just a few short words away there will be pictographic proof of this claim which I have made.  But before we get to the goods, I have to spend a little bit of time giving MuchLove & ManyThanks to Courtney, Michael and everyone else that helped make the day so wonderful!  Remember, we just happened to be there with the camera – you guys did all the hard work!  No more words, just a message to everyone else out there – Enjoy!
