Attack of the VIB’s

I didn’t want to use the term ‘Bridezilla’ in the post title, because these three lovely ladies were all great to work with – nothing but love from all! Many thanks to one and all for stopping by the studio for some pre-wedding day snaps – Enjoy!

The Levi & Kiley Edition!

Our voyage to the outer reaches of time concludes, and we are now actually back to this week – back just a couple of days to the warm embrace of Monday!

We literally drove straight to Minot, got out of the car, and met new friends of Otis & James Levi & Kiley for some swinginsnappingoodtime Engagement snaps! ‘Twas a wonderful way to get back into the O&J game, as this fantastic couple was indeed, fantastic to work with!

We would like to throw out some thanks to Levi & Kiley for providing us with such great snaps, and for also dealing with the relatively unbridled chaos that can greet us after being out of the studio for a few days (I knew we shoudn’t have left our pet monkey in the studio by himself for a week – live & learn.)

Enough of these things, and let’s get on with the show – Enjoy!

The Justin & Michelle Edition!

Again, venture with us as our journey to the land of many yesterdays continues, most specifically the yesterday that occured on a Saturday that wasn’t this last Saturday, and this time we will be stopping by the righteous photo shoot for long time friends of Otis & James, Justin & Michelle!

This time, we were not in some back office up on 31st, or in some garden center…oh no…we were in the O&J Funcenter, and we were taking photosnaps of the adults! They must have been paying attention to Connor as he worked the camera during his past shoots, because they got the jams out in a big way for the shoot!

Now, even though people don’t say ‘get the jams out’ I think that all of you can come to a universal conclusion that this wonderful couple was absolutely couply wonderfuliscous in every way – and to prove my point – I’m now going to cease this searching around the keyboard in search of the correct letter in order to form a word, and am instead going to get to the snaps – Enjoy!

The Thomas & Jessica Edition

Let’s hop into the Otis & James time machine here a little bit and take a voyage back, all the way back to not this past Saturday, but the Saturday before – Crazy!!!

Why must we voyage so far back in time?? To visit new friends of Otis & James, Thomas & Jessica for some super deluxe Engagement Photographs! We had an absolutely wonderful time working with this fatastico (I’m not sure if that is even a word from a foreign land, but I’m diggin’ it for this purpose) couple, and the session was sweetly sweets!

But really, haven’t we waited long enough to see the snaps? So I’m going to break my fingers in order for me to stop typing so that you can just look at this duo. Hearty thanks to Thomas & Jessica for stoppin’ down, and – Enjoy!

Marc & Kayla

Our Wedesday continued with a totally awesome (when exactly did my speech and writing patterns become stuck in the awful 80’s way that they so painfully seem to be?) visit from new friends of Otis & James, Marc & Kayla!

Man, I’ll tell you something. These two tore it up – mad style! We had a great time working with this soon to be Mr. & Mrs. (remember, once you have the engagement pics taken, it’s a done deal), and as I’ve said before and I’ll say again – the couple that photographs well together is the couple that will stay together. Again, I’m actually not an expert on this or for that matter any other subject, but behind the doors of the superstudio I pretend that I am many things and that I know everything.

Back to the story, they rocked. No lie, no joke, they straight up rocked! We would like to throw a big ol’ O&J thanks their way for hangin’ a little long for us as we started out. We hope that our worst case scenarios from our wedding experiences didn’t scare you too much. In hindsight, probably not the best subject to go over with those that are soon to their big day. Just forget we ever said anything, and that we just took the pics. Well, now that I’ve got that off my chest – Enjoy!

Aileen!

This is Aileen.
She came down to the studio this past Tuesday evening for some super awesome snaps.

Can you guess what it is that Aileen will be doing at some point coming up soon?
I’m going to give you a hint:

It rhymes with bedding.

Aileen was very nice, (I say this because she laughed at my dumb jokes…or perhaps she was just laughing at me…hmm) and we say Thanks Be To Her (and her assistant-in-law) for giving us such a great end to the day!

Enjoy!

Gill & Christen!

After a great start to the day, this past yesterday (but I guess that yesterday would imply that it was past, but I’m not being graded on this thing – am I?) continued on with being totally and completely awesome as we were paid a visit from the totally and completely awesome Gill & Christen!

They were patient as people in tuxedos and fancy dresses kept coming and going, but they never lost their cool. When it came time for the pics to start, they were ready to go and rock it out in the ol’ Otis & James Super Studio!

Seriously, I’m just going to say thank you to this lovely couple for being patient, and for being so great to work with. And when I’m done saying that I’m just going to stop typing and have you look at the proof of how awesome they were below. Well, it looks like I’ve done that. So – Enjoy!

Eric & Amanda!

Our day of super-fun photographs (there was quite a bit of tedious office work, but does anybody really want to read a blog that talks about what bills were paid today, or the fact that we really need those click pencils??) continued with a visit from future Otis & James Bride & Groom (this sounds as if we might present them with a plaque for being a client, but there will be no plaque – instead they just have a good feeling inside that we will be there with them during their wedding day, or again, we hope they have a good feeling inside…or maybe it’s indigestion – whichever) Eric & Amanda!

We truly had a superfuntasticular time working with this lovely couple, and if our experience today is any indication, we will have a great time with their wedding as well (let’s just hope there won’t be as many interuptions during the wedding as there were during the session!)

A big shout out to E & A (this is what all their close friends call them – or at least I will call them this in hope that it will catch on) for being so totally and completely rockin’. Rock it up, now and forever more – Enjoy!

Chad & Amy!

On Saturday, our long distance e.mail relationship with a person that I’ll just refer to as ‘Amy’ (even though I’m pretty sure this is her real name, so I’m not so sure why I should put her in quotes, but it does add that element of danger that we’ve been seeking here in the land of blog…where all the children run free) came to an end as she and her fiancee, which for conversations sake could be called ‘Chad’, paid us a visit in the land of Otis & James on an absolutely wonderful experience, which shall be known as a ‘wonderful experience.’

That was an example of a run-on sentence, and I invite all of my faithful bloggerites to print off a copy of this and mail a corrected version to:

All entries must be received before midnight, May 1st. There is no prize for winning, just the pride in knowing that you made the effort.

Let’s put all of this in a box, seal it up, and get back to the matter at hand, and that is Chad & Amy!

How could we not have a great time with this couple? They were awesome – they came here ready to rock (I could tell this by the Slayer bumper stickers that were on their garment bags), and rock they did! We started in the superstudio, and then busted down the winter door that has held us back for the last few months, and ventured to the land of sunshine, and fresh air. Some call this the great outdoors, I call it…well, I guess I call it the same thing.

It was beautiful, they were beautiful, and I think that it’s time that we all stop reading, and let the staring into the snaps begin – Enjoy!

Dustin & Natasha!

Last Wednesday (and I’m not talking just yesterday, I’m talkin’ the one before – we didn’t forget about you!) Otis & James welcomed our new friends Dustin & Natasha to the studio for some good ol’ fashioned engagement photographs!!

It was all good (is it still OK to say ‘all good’?) in our land of photographic love/good times, and it was all because of this totally awesome couple! We look forward to working with them in the near future, and would now like to offer up some photographic goods from the evening – Enjoy!
