Jared & Jamie

This past Saturday we jumped back into the wedding season with friends of Otis & James, Jared & Jamie! A long long time ago (many different offices ago) we first booked this wedding. At the time it seemed like it would take forever to get here. We’re all like “2006??!! What will the world even be like then?? Will there be flying cars? Will we be living on a moon colony? Will Jared & Jamie exchange vows wearing Jet Packs, flying above the altar with helmets and capes?”

2006 finally arrived, and our date with the future occured at last! I’m here to report that 2006 really isn’t all that much different than the first part of 2005. There is no colony on the moon, or flying cars or jet packs. I was still kind of hoping for some helmets and capes from the wedding party, but alas, none were found. What we did find was that this wedding day was absolutely perfect in every way!

From the Bride & Groom, to the Wedding Party and Family – everyone was truly wonderful to work with, and they all made sure that our work was totally easy. They were rock stars of the highest degree. Again, I’m not sure what that means, I just know that it’s the only way that I can express through my limited vocabulary and emotional capabilities of saying that we had a wonderful time, and we would like to extend true congratulations to the Bride & Groom.

Perhaps there will be weddings in the future that have Jet Packs/Helmets/Capes, but until we reach that point in the advancement of humanity, this wedding is a close to perfect as it gets. But enough of my typing and let’s get to the snaps – Enjoy!

Dana…One More Time!

After many close calls, tonight we finally had the great pleasure of working with old friend of Otis & James, none other than the one and only lovely Dana!

She, again along with her lovely assistant (Mom) came down to the Otis & James Center for Stunted Emotional Growth (O&JCFSEG) for some super sweet Track/Prom type photographs. Not that we had some sort of a weird combination of Prom on a runnning track. Although that idea sounds strangely intriguing, we opted instead to go for something a little different.

We would like to thank Dana & her Assistant for taking time out to visit us on this lovely evening, and we would now like to see some snaps, and not see any more typing words – Enjoy!

Meagan & ______! *UPDATE . IT’S REGAN!

OK, let’s just get to the point here Meagan. I didn’t write down the name of your significant other (whome we’ll call the SI from here on out), so this makes the part where I attach the title to your post a little difficult; hence the ______ has been posted, and if you would like, you could either e.mail us back with a name to fill the blank in with, our you could simply just take a Sharpie and write the name on your monitor in the space provided.

To be straight, in no way do we advise that you or anyone else out there attack their monitor with a Sharpie, I’m just throwing it out there as an idea. And of course, we bear no responsibility for any damage that may or may not occur if this method is attempted.

So, now that we have that difficult part over with, let’s get to the business at hand. This evening, we had the good pleasure of working with Meagan, and here SI for the purpose of some Graduation/Engagement type photographs!

Well, let me tell you this, Mission Accomplished. The two of you two did it with style and ease, and we would like to say thank you, congratulations, and – Enjoy!

Emily Gets By (With a Little Help From Her Friends)

This late afternoon was a happy time, as we were joined by new friends of O&J Emily, and her band of brothers (not that it was all men, as this was not the case, but I’m trying to type in a clever way, and am running out of cliches…so give me a little break here) stopped by the studio for some super awesome Friends/Couples Snappy Snaps!

They were all great to work with, which in turn made our work as easy as it gets – all we had to do was line them up and shoot, which sounds strangely like some sort of capital punishment, but rest assured my fellow children of the blog, we would never condone any violence like that in the Funcenter – becauase how much fun would that be?? Not much fun at all.

Well, moving on, we had a great time working with one and all, and would to wich Congrads to those doing that MSU graduation thing – Enjoy!

The Continuing Adventures of Carol…With Guest Star Brandon!

I’m pretty sure that I’ve pretty much said all that there needs to be said about this totally and completely rocking client that we’ve had the great priveledge of working with over this past year, that goes by the name of Carol, so I’m not even going to say anything about this shoot, other than these two rocked it up so totally and completely righteous style that there was a point at which I thought the sun was going to crack in half, and out from it would fly the sun-people, and they would come all the way back to earth, which it seems like that trip would take somewhere around the eight-minute mark if my memories of the speed of light and the earths distance from the sun didn’t get too burnt out (no pun intended) from things that occured during the golden-oldy-moldy 1990’s, and they would come all the way here to our little studio of fun just to see what it was that caused their sun-home to crack in half, and they would have the vision of these two etched into their sun filled eyes, and to etch the vision of someone into the eyes of something as bright as the sun people (and should I be capitalizing that term – ‘sun people’?) is pretty crazy, if you sit down and think about it.

And that’s how hard they rocked.

Ash & Rachel (& Special Guest)!

Yesterday evening the Otis & James Center for Scheduling Corrections (O&JCFSC) opened up the doors to welcome none other than new friends to Otis & James, Ash & Rachel (along with a special guest) for some super-sweet Engagement/Family style snaps!

This wasn’t the first time that they came down to the studio to get this goin’, but seeing as how we were in the state this time, I think that it was the best time for them to come (we don’t know how Brittany would have been with the shoot, and we’re not sure that they would have wanted to partake in that experiment.)

They were wonderful – absolutely wonderful to work with! We had a great time, and we would like to thank this great couple for adjusting their schedule, and for coming back to the studio. We look forward to the Big Day, and for now, here’s some snaps from the shoot – Enjoy!

Makin’ Music With Allyn!

On Tuesday evening we opened up the doors to the SuperStudio and found a young lady that goes by the name of Allyn here and ready to show us just how it is that you take totally awesome photographs!

She, along with her lovely assistant (Mom) came here ready to rock, and I mean this literally, as they had a cache of instruments ready to play! We sang, took some sweet sweet snaps, and all around had a wonderful time working with this lovely young lady!

We would like to thank Allyn & her assistant for making time for us on this fine evening, and to say thanks, we thought we’d show you a couple of sample snaps – Enjoy!

Audrey!

This past Tuesday afternoon we had the good fortune of meeting up with the one & only Audrey! She, along with her entourage (Pa & Sis – do people still call their fathers Pa?) stopped by the SuperFunCenter for some, as they name implies, Super Fun Snaps!

After shedding a couple of tears, we got down to business. Audrey rode her bike like good ol’ Lance Armstrong, and while Otis acted like some sort of a Monkey in order to get a cheap laugh – good ol’ Otis, always the one with the lampshade on the head.

Well, seeing as how I am refering to myself in the third person, I think that it’s time that we moved on to the snappy snaps – Enjoy!

Attack of the VIB’s

I didn’t want to use the term ‘Bridezilla’ in the post title, because these three lovely ladies were all great to work with – nothing but love from all! Many thanks to one and all for stopping by the studio for some pre-wedding day snaps – Enjoy!

The Emily (I’ll Say Cecil) Edition!

You got soul, you got groove, you got it all.

And That’s That.

And if you’re ever in the Highland Park area of St. Paul, Minnesota, be sure to check out Cecil’s Deicatessen. Have a Reuben and tell them Otis sent ya – even though it won’t get you anything since I was technically fired from there.

Oh, and Emily – your awesomaciousness overwhelmed us, your glowing aura still lingers, and our thanks go out to you for everything – Enjoy!
