Natsha & Dustin

Our Incredible Voyages of the WayBack Machine (IVOTWBM) now continue, and this time we are going back…wayback (of course, Otis…it’s called the WayBack machine, after all – did you think that we were going to be going back in time to a place that was known as eighteen seconds ago…do you even think before you start typing these things? Geesh!)…all the way to a time that was known as the second to the last day of 2006, and to a land that is known as Harvey, home on this day to no big white rabbit (there was, a rather large white snow storm, but that’s another story for another time), but instead it was the land where the one and only, the ever-lovely and the truly wonderful Natasha & Dustin were to be married!

The Otis & James Caravan of Love made the at times tracherous trek to this far away land, but every moment of white knuckle driving was more than worth it as we had a truly truly wonderful time working with this incredibly fantastic couple, and their equally wonderful wedding party and families! We wouldn’t have missed it for the world, and how wonderful a day it was, as every aspect of the festivities was absolutely gorgeous!

We would now like to take some time and send some love to Natasha & Dustin, and wish them a heartfelt congratulations and thank them for having us be a part of their totally wonderful day! Well, it seems that I have reached that point where everything gets way way way too sappy, and I think that it is time for us to now forget about all of my words, and look instead at some of the sweetsamplesnaps that are just waiting for us to behold. So, behold! And – Enjoy!

Ali & Nick

As the wheels at the O&J factory kept on a-turnin’ (despite the change in year, metamorphasis of my sanity, and perhaps more cracks in the street of Main) the aura surrounding the FunCenter continued to thrive and a heavenly aroma wafted from the air vents of the FunCenter; ’twas the sweet, sweet scent of fun.

Parked outside in the VIP space directly in front of the FunCenter (which our lovely hired hand, Benjamin, sits on through all hours of the night to ensure the rightful parkers (O&J) receive rightful parking) was none other than the imfamous and often underestimated, overexaggerated, discombobulated, extremely underrated, government-debated, inflated, tie-dye painted WayBack Machine. It turns out that the WayBack machine conquered the recent MegaStorm (which had no affiliations with any superhero, nor their powers) that engulfed Northdakotaland.

Though the WayBack machine is no longer in her prime (which occured during the late 70’s and again in the early 90’s) it found no trouble suiting up for its latest endeavor: The wedding celebration sensation of none other than the sweetness of Ali and Nick!

With all passengers aboard and the discoball in full swing (as the WayBack machine, during it’s prime, held many a discoteque) the party of Ali and Nick rocked, rocked…sweet bippy, they rocked. And rocked they did, so much in fact, that the WayBack machine, upon their departure, pulled me aside and whispered into my one good ear, “Otis, you’re killin’ me, man.” I’m not even kidding you.

Sweet thanks to Ali and Nick and to their rocking and über kool wedding par-tay for being totally, completely, sweetly, neatly, O&J-ly, undeniably awesome. Enjoy!

Danae & Blake

Up next on our voyage in the o&j WayBack Machine is a visit to a land that some people out there in this world refer to as Berthold, and the reason was not just to stop by the Cenex or the grain elevator.

No, no, no. Once again, the Otis & James Caravan of Love left the Minot station and headed a little bit West, and it was for the absolutely wonderful wedding of Danae & Blake! Well, if we want to get all technical here, I guess that before we actually headed out in the Caravan of Love (which is far more glamourous sounding than it really is…which, truth be told, the Caravan is actually a 1977 Totota Corolla station wagon, with an AM radio, but now is not the time to speak of this, we need to instead focus on the matter at hand…but first, I have to get out of these parentheses), the completely beautiful and absolutely wonderful Wedding Party came down to the FunCenter for some totallysweetsnaps!

It is always a ton of fun (note to self: never use the term ‘ton of fun’ again) when wedding parties come down to the FunCenter for Fun, and this day was no exception! It was a party! Good times were had by all! Holla! I don’t know what that means! Yes!

But really, did you come here to read some sort of a novella that is soaked in insanity, or did you come here to look at some sweetsamplesnaps from the day? I betcha (look at me use authentic vernacular!) you came here for the snaps, so I’m just going to say thank you and congratulations to this wonderful couple, and to all of you out there in the land of blog – Enjoy!

Lindsey & Scott

Alright everybody. It’s been a long time since we’ve started up the Otis & James WayBack Machine, but it’s time to suit up, and prepare ye for some seriously sweet travels. Our first stop is all the way back to a time that shall be known as the time of more than two but less than four Friday’s ago, and the land that we will be traveling to is a magical and mystical place that shall forever be known to the people of the blog as…Harvey!

I know you’re wondering, ‘Why do we have to crawl into the WayBack Machine again…there’s a bunch of candy wrappers on the floor and it smells like a combination of french fries and Joop in here’, and I’m here to tell you that subjecting yourself to a trip in the WayBack Machine will be totally worth it, because we are going back to see some supersweetsample snaps from the wedding of Lindsey & Scott!

You heard me! We had the good golly great gosh almighty honor of being a part of the wedding of Lindsey & Scott, and I’m here to report to you that the Otis & James Caravan of Love pulled out of the Minot station, pulled into the Harvey station, and the party just kept on a keepin’ on! And do you know why it was so awesome? I’m not going to wait for your answer, I’m just going to tell you.

It was awesome because Lindsey & Scott, as well as their wedding party and families were totally and completely awesome to work with! We had a wonderful time, and we would like to wish them a heartfelt o&j congratuations, and a thank you for letting us be a part of the day!

Well, enough of all this talkey-talkey, and let’s get on to the reason you’re here. MuchLove to one and all, and – Enjoy!

Sarah & Ryan!

Now, gather ’round the digital fire that is the blog (I don’t actually recommend setting fire to anything, and most definatley you should not set fire to your computer, unless it happens to spontaneously combust, in which case you should always keep a fire extinguisher nearby, and if the fire is enjoyable, then you should enjoy it, and if the fire gets out of control, you should extinguish it…was that expression used during the OJ case? It seems familiar somehow. Where am I…ahh yes…I remember now!) and prepare ye for a story of a wonderful couple that – for the sake of conversation, well, come to think of it, it will probably be like this after this converstaion is over, but I’m just living in the now and I’ll leave it to all of you to figure out these greater questions – shall be known as Sarah & Ryan!

At some point in their lives, and judging from the looks of their supersweetsamplesnaps (NO PEEKING! Only when I say the magic word can you go!) I would say that it was probably pretty recent, they stopped by the Otis & James Center For The Study of How Many Licks It Will Take To Get To The Center Of A Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop (O&JCFTSOHMLIWTTGTTCOATRTP) for some super awesome E.Pics!

[Being the new year, I will tell you just this one time again that E.Pics are the coolio term for Engagement Pics…now it’s up to you to keep yo køøl factor up and remember this so I won’t have to dork it up any more by using the old lingo…now back to the story]

Once I give the word and you begin to gaze lovingly at their supersweetsamplesnaps, you will see that we had a wonderful time working with this lovely wonderful (hey…there’s a new one, combine my two favorite adjectives and creat a new überadjective to describe them! I tell you what, 2007 is looking good!), and we give them ManyThanks & MuchLove for stopping by and haning wit’ the o&j crüe for a little while! Oh, and for those of you waiting for the magic word – Enjoy!

Ryan & Jenice

Our December weddings got off to an absolutely wonderful start, as the wedding of Ryan & Jenice was finally here! The Caravan of Love (now, for those of you that have problems with yo’ memory – it has been a long time since last summer – The Caravan of Love is what happens when o&j leave the confines of Minot for new and exciting places) pulled out of the Minot station, and headed west, all the way to a land called…Tioga!

I tell you what (did I really just start out a new paragraph with ‘I tell you what’? Man…what is going on with me…I’m from Minnesota, not Kentucky), it was an absolutely wonderful day, and that was specifically because of the absolutely wonderful couple that we had the honest goodly great pleasure of working with, and their equally as wonderful wedding party and families! They alll made the day totally and completely wonderful, and we would like to tell them – truly – what a wonderful time we had!

It was a fabulous day, filled with nothing but love love love sweet love, and good times! But, do I really need to go on for this long, or should we just put these words to bed and get to the part that all you all (there we go again…I’m a Northerner!) have come here to see! So, without any further delay, it’s Ryan & Jenice – Enjoy!

Kari & Zac!

Alright.

Holy Mother of all things cute.

There. I had to say it. I hope that Zac doesn’t think it’s weird that I’m saying this. Really, I’m not trying to weird you out…I’m just calling it as I see it.

Now, this is a good thing! You see, your supersweetsnaps are…super sweet! Yes! See! Good Thing!

Well, now that I’ve made everyone feel uncomfortable, I think my work here is done. I leave you now with a message to the ever-wonderful Kari & Zac, saying MuchLove to them for being so wonderful, and to all of my faithful of the blog out in your happy blog homes at this fine moment – Enjoy!

Erica & Anthony!

Now, let our epic journey through time and space continue with a visit to the Otis & James Center for FunCentering, And For Really Sweet Stuff, In Addition To Incense Burners (O&JCFFAFRSSIATIB) from none other than new friends to Otis & James, the ever-lovely Erica & Anthony!

Now, they did not come down here to sit on the red couch in the Office of Otis & Ben (usually smelling like sushi), so they could listen to me as I regailed them with stories of the goldenolden days, of my wildlywasted youth, so they could eventually be all like, “What is the story with this dude?”

No No No. They did not come down for any of that trickery and or tom-foolery. Instead, they entered the doors to the FunCenter for some totallyawesome e.pics, and get some totally awesome e.pics is exactly what they did (does this really come as any suprise, taking into consideration just how totally awesome they are?)

We would like to give MuchLove to this wonderful couple for stopping down to Otis & Jamesville, and for giving us just a li’l bit o’ their sweet sweet time! And to all of me peeps out there in the land of blog – Enjoy!

Brenna & Eric!

The ever-lovely and totally charming Brenna & Eric stopped down to the FunCenter, in a time which we shall call ‘not so long ago, but yet not so recent that I can really recall’, for some crazysweet E.Pics, and this is the story.

You see, it was one of those shoots which was shot (ugh…could that sentence start off any worse?) by yours truly, the one and only, the master of disaster, the king of pain, the sultan of shoreview, the man of minot, the clown of Cleveland (actually, have never lived in Cleveland, but was bestowed the title after saving the town from impending distruction from an asteroid after the OTIS5000 Satellite discovered not an asteroid, but instead a 1978 Ford Thunderbird travelling through time and space with one mission and one mission only…to destroy Cleveland…but, I told them about it, and…well…you all know the rest of that story) Otis!

Most days, Otis is kept away from clients, only being let out from time to time for good behaviour. But today was different, and the ever lovely and always charming Brenna & Eric had the good fortune to have the Otis (and, I shall from this point on refer to myself as ‘The Otis’) be the one behind the camera.

Him, and his talented assistant Kinzo tore on into the shoot, and after a period in which the ever lovely and always charming Brenna & Eric may have thought that Otis was mere seconds away from losing his mind, they had a splendid time taking many picto-graphs in the FunCenter for Fun, and on this day, beautiful E.Pics!

Hooray!

I would like to thank them for not running away in fear from my insanity, and to all of my peeps of blog that may or may not be sitting in front of a Chirstmas tree named Clifford – Enjoy!

Jessica & Cameron!

Even though we are currently in the midst of Holiday Portrait Madness, from time to time we still manage to have the good-gosh-great-almighty pleasure of working with the very people that helped build the Otis & James Empire (OJE) into what it is today…and that’s our supersweet wedding clients!

You see, my people of the blog, it’s time for a little bit of o&j history. A long time ago (and, is there any other way to start a brief history than with the phrase ‘a long time ago’?) we were just a couple of drips that had a couple of cameras. But then some real trusting people asked us if we would take their wedding photographs. And then another couple did, and then a couple of more did, and then…well…the OJE was on its way to being what it is today.

But that’s where it all started. With our wedding peeps. They have been the ones that have kept it real for us this whole time. They have been our bedrock, our foundation. Without them, we are nothing. So, it is always a great pleasure for us to work with one of these future wedding clients for the first time, during their e.pics.

And, that’s just what we did with the superawesome Jessica & Cameron! They stolled on into the FunCenter, and made what we like to call, sweet photographic magic happen! We had an absolultey wonderful time working with this fantastic couple, and we can not wait until the main event (their wedding, for those of you not on the up and up with me lingo.)

ManyThanks & MuchLove to them for stopping by the FunCenter on such a fine evening, and to all of you out there in the land of blog – Enjoy!
