Monday Morning…Amber Style!

Our first client of the new week was an old old friend of Otis & James, the lovely and talented Amber! You see, we first met her way way back in the day; as she accompanied her equally lovely and talented sistah Sara during her Senior Snaps!

This being the case, she came to the SuperFunCenter (gotta compete with Wallyworld, so if you put a Super in front of your name, you should be just fine…i.e. Miracle Mart, or Super Miracle Mart – which would you rather go to??) totally mentally prepared, as she has spent the past year in a zen-like preparation. It has been a rigorous regime (which is a good band name if anybody wants it) of hair, makeup, clothes, posing – and it has served her well.

I say that it has served her well because her snaps turned out totally and completely awesome on 74 different levels. We have had people rock in the low seventies, but not all the way up to 74. Dang. Now that’s rocking. We had a great time with Amber, and her assistant (no longer older sistah, she is just now the assistant (sorry Sara, but this is class of ’07 and you are old now, and relegated to just being the assistant 🙁 ) as we traveled out and about in search of the perfect snap!

We would like to give a ‘shout-out’ (still livin’ in the Nineties, that I am) to Amber for being so righteously awesome, but I think that enough reading has gone on, and it is time instead to look at some colorful pixels from the day – Enjoy!

Travis & Leah

Saturday was an absolutely wonderful day in the world of O&J; birds was singin’, sun was all shinin’, and good friends of O&J, none other than Travis & Leah were going to be married! The best part of all of this is that we got to be there for the festivities!

As I said, it was an absolutely wonderful day, and we were happy to spend it with such a wonderful couple (and their wedding party was pretty much totally awesome as well!) They were all patient, as we made them brave the hot weather, but it was all for a good cause – that of taking the most sweet wedding photo-graphs ever. But it would not be us that made the photographs so sweet, it was none other than Travis & Leah that made the day so totally awesome for us!

We would like to extend a true thank you to all that made our day so great – everybody and everything was wonderful (and could you believe that slideshow during the reception??? Craaaaaaaaazy good!) – you’re all awesome in the big book of O&J (which may or may not mean that much to you, but at least it’s something.)

How many times must you listen to me ramble on and on and on about this stuff…let’s get to the goods – Enjoy!

Jeremy & Chelsie

On this past Friday, the doors of the FunCenter opened up, but this time it was real real real special, because it was the wedding of none other than the super awesome dude/dudette combination of Jeremy & Chelsie!

They, along with their merry band of wedding party revelers (which is a word, I looked it up) came into the studio, and absolutely tore it up! Which was a good thing, as it was like 417º outside (and thats Farenheit, y’all), so the kool confines of the studio proved themself as the dope bomp (I think that this expression is still used…hello…anybody still use it besides me) coolio environment to do some awesome studio shots of this beautiful party.

And, as if that wasn’t enough, we also got to partake in the whole days festivities; from the ceremony all the way to the fabulous reception! Much fun was had by all, and I’m here to report that great amounts of fun were had by Otis & James, and that we would love to thank this couple for being so great to work with! Without any further delay, Jeremy & Chelsie – Enjoy!

A Batch of Sweet Thursday Snaps, With A Dash of Jenna!

I’m not even sure what the title of this post means, but it makes me think of cookies. You know, I like cookies. And, it’s crazy, because we liked working with Jenna this past week on her Senior Snaps! You are correct, that was the worst segue there ever was! Yay!

As I says, we had the good-golly-great pleasure of working with the incomparable Jenna this past week, in order to get what the kids are now calling ‘Senior Pictures’…again…Yay! What will they think of next??!! Ahhhhhhh…sweet youth. The world stands before them, beckoning them to soon leave their nests and fly off into the great unknown. And that’s why we take the snaps. So you can have them forever framed in all their Senior Year glory! This may not seem like much to them now, but someday they too will look back at their old senior snaps, and grow a little wistful for the pureness of this time in their lives. The crazy part is that this voyage to the land of wistful will be taken through the image that first passed through our eyes. You may look back at the snap someday, and you might not even remember our names. Perhaps it was Lotus & Vang, Bartles & James…ahh, who knows. Long after we are gone, the snap still remains. Crazy

Whoa, my mind offically became blown on that one. Well, as I was saying, we had a great time working with the lovely Jenna, and be sure to look for us to add a couple of snaps to her post when we finish up the rest o’ the shoot! A’ight (as the kids are so fond of saying), enough of all this, let’s get to the snaps – Enjoy!

Annalise!

Last Thursday (not that the date really means that much, I just wanted to let you know that we are now only a week behind on posting) the doors of the FunCenter (which, for those of you unfamiliar with ‘the blog’, that’s our code-word for O&J) opened up, and we welcomed the lovely Annalise to the studio for some totally awesome snappy snaps!

But really, with beauty such as this, how could the snaps be anything less than totally righteous??!! Much thanks to all for coming down to the studio (and special thanks to a certain special cousin for stepping in for a snap or two) on this lovely morn, and now, to the pics – Enjoy!

Old Friends!

Time it was time and it was time and it was a happy time, or something like that, or maybe that’s another song…I am thinking that it should be something about a parkbench, and bookends. Alright, I don’t have time to consult my Simon & Garfunkel songbook that I normally carry with me. Like, I would just love to be that guy at the party that is quick to help out when people are trying to sing along to ‘The Boxer’, but all they know is the ‘Li Li Li’ part of the song. But I forgot it, alright, now leave me alone. Looking at that title with my favorite form of punctuation, the exclamation point just sitting there on the end all looking happy and shocked as it so often does, I think that more songs or creative works could have been kicked up that extra notch had the punctuation just been changed a little bit. Like, there’s this band called ‘Metallica’, and they have this song called ‘Fade To Black’. Now, how much more exciting could it have been if they had instead called it ‘Fade To Black!’ There could have been a real Broadway flair to that song, something I could have really tapped my feet to. Oh well.

Oh Yeah – we had some old friends (together they are old friends, and one of them ((see if you can guess which one)) is a double old friend of O&J) stop down to the FunCenter for the Study of Fun for some supertakctulary Friendly Friend Snaps!

THEY ROCKED QUADRUPLE HARD! Sho Nuff. Daaaaaaaang. And I’m gonna leave it at that – Enjoy!

Mother/Daughter/Otis & James Sort of Morning!

Are you a Mother, or a Daughter looking for something to do during the AM hours??? Why not do as these lovely ladies did and have some rise & shine snappy snaps taken!

But I defy you to tear it up as well as these lovely ladies (I shall call them LL’s from here on out – an homage to Cool James) did. I mean, don’t get me wrong, you can try, but they have set the standard high, and I don’t know if you will be able to make the challenge.

For, the LL’s couldn’t have been any more wonderful, super, fantastical, or any number of other positive adjectives to work with! There aren’t even enough exclamation points to express how sweet they were! !!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – see, it doesn’t do it justice.

So, I will just cease with my jibba-jabba, and instead let the snappy-snaps (does anybody even know what I’m saying anymore, or has my use of the english language devolved into some neo-pseudo-babyspeak?) do the work – Enjoy!

Oh…Em…Gee…Otis & James…Where the @#&* Are You???

Have you been coming here, day after day, looking for something…anything for that matter that is new?? And have you been coming here day after day (at least for the past seven or so days) and continually having your heart broken by our lack of new posts???

If so, I have the cure for you, and it’s just about to start. What, oh what is this cure, you ask?? Well, you won’t find it in any bottle. You won’t find it down the street at B&B. You won’t find it in the backwoods of the Amazon. You won’t even find it in your basement or closet. You will find it right here, in the good ol’ blog. Because I am about ready to unleash a torrent of posts, guaranteed to whip your minds into a photographic frenzy, or at least to mildly amuse you until you surf your way over to the next page.

Sit back, relax, don’t do it…wait…just sit back and relax, and prepare ye minds to be blown away by colorful pixels that may or may not wind up being someone that you recognize.

And be sure not to handle heavy machinery after taking the cure.

Peace Out, My Homeslices.

Kaylee…Master of the Short Thumbs Up!

Not only is she the Master of the Short Thumbs Up, she is also the only person to be hit in the head with my light meter (which is actually a deck of cards box painted black with a string attached…shhhhhhhhhh…don’t tell anyone that I really live in a world of delusion), but after reviewing the tape, we found that it was not I that hit her, but actually her that rammed her head into the meter…crafty, my friend…crafty.

We moved on from these treacherous early moments, and she forgave me for the ‘incident’, as I like to think of it, and the results, if you don’t mind me saying, are gogeoustacularfantatstic!! We did all sorts of stuff on our crazy little adventure, I even got to pet a horse, A REAL LIVE HORSE! Um…horses actually kind of aren’t my bag – they’re really big and I’m more of a cat person. They are small and like to purr. Horses might trample you. Not that I have anything against horses, again, they’re just not my bag…whatever that means.

Umm…where was I…oh yes, Kaylee! Well, I don’t know if there is really all that much more to say other than our time together was short and sweet – there was no better way for us to conclude our day than with a visit from this lovely and talented lady person. We truly had a great time working with her, and we would like to thank her for all of the rocking that she so awesomely did. And she likes both country, and western music…and fishing. So there – Enjoy!

Friendly Jon!

With a name like Friendly Jon, I’m pretty sure that you’re able to figure out that:

a)His name is Jon
b)He is friendly

OK, his first name really isn’t ‘Friendly’, it’s actually just Jon. Well…I actually didn’t check his ID to see if it wasn’t Friendly, so I guess that I really can’t say with much certainty one way or another that his name is or isn’t Friendly…but I’m thinking that his ‘rents (and that’s short for parents – for all you’s squares out there) would pretty much have to be super-hippies (which is also the name of the lamest group of Marvel Comic stars possible – they just want to talk about our differences with the bad guys, instead of zapping them with our laser-beam eyes…dang lame Super-Hippies) in order to have a first name like Friendly.

Moving on, which I think is a good thing, we had a great time working with Jon, and we got ourselves a convoy…uh…wrong song…we got ourselves some totallay awesome (and I meant to spell totally that way) sweet snaps of the event.

Without any further adieu, I present Jon – Enjoy!
